Today I have a review about two Rimmel London products. I’ve shown them already in my collective haul. I can already tell you that this is going to be a positive review. So if you want to see swatches and more details, I suggest you read on!
I want to start of with the little eyeshadow palette. I’ve been wanting it for ages, and now I finally bought it. It’s the Rimmel London Glam’Eyes HD in the color 005 English Rose. It’s a small palette with the shape of the English flag (I guess). The first thing I realized was that the little compartments with the darker colors are very small. Of course, it looks cute, but it’s not very handy when you want to pick up a bit of the color. It’s quite diffecult actually. Of course it’s possible, but you shouldn’t use a big brush for it.
The colors in the palette are quite pinky. I’ve been really into that lately. The lightest shade in the palette is absolutely perfect for your eyelid. It brightens it up so nicely. I love the shimmer it has. It’s not too chunky as the shimmers in the color dust from the Naked 3 palette, but it’s settle.
The other colors are really pretty too. They are perfect for a daily makeup look. I like that they have different shades of brown so you can darken up your look as well as keep it light.
It wasn’t easy to get the colors swatched because of the small compartments, but I tried. The first thing I noticed was that the texture is so satiny and soft. I love the way they feel and apply. They are not too powdery at all. It does look like that at the last color, but that happened just because I couldn’t get it swatched properly because of the small things.
All colors are pretty pigmented, especially when you put a nice base underneath it. Like a cream eyeshadow or a paint pot from MAC.
The Rimmel London Glam’Eyes HD palette is available in most drugstores for €11,99.
The next product is this Rimmel London lipstick in the color Fancy. It’s a pretty pinky shimmery and slightly metallic color. The packaging is really cute. It’s a shiny purple packaging with a silver “band”. It doesn’t look cheap at all. In my opinion it even looks quite chique.
The color of the lipstick is slightly different from what I would normally wear. I’m not a huge fan of metallic effects, but in this lipstick in didn’t really bother me. It’s a pretty pink color, which is not too nude, but not too bright and it contains glitter. I do think that they could have skipped the glitter, but it doesn’t really bother me. I like the texture of the lipstick and the way that you don’t really feel it on your lips. I don’t wear lipstick a lot, just because of the feeling and the fact that I always forget it, but this one is an exception. You don’t feel it at all! This lipstick is perfect for on a daily basis, when you want to keep your makeup looking natural.
The Rimmel London Moisture Renew lipstick in Fancy is available in most drugstores for €11,95.
I hope you liked my review and the products. Let me know in the comments what you think of the products, and what your favorite Rimmel products are!
Vooral de lipstick spreekt mij wel erg aan! Ik heb zelf het paletje ook en vind die kleine stukjes wel erg onhandig haha!
