Lately there has been going around a tag called: School Stories. It’s invented by Dutch beautyblogger Mascha and it’s all about school related things like: how you are in school, your best memorie, wether you liked it or not. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
How old are you and are you still in school?
I’m sixteen years old and yes, I’m still in school. I’m now in my last year of high school.
Which levels of education have you done?
This question might be a little bit confusing for my non-Dutch readers, but in the Netherlands we have different levels of education. This goes from VMBO to Gymansium. I’m in bilingual HAVO.
Do you like school?
Sometimes. I can’t say that I hate school, because at the end of summer break I’m always pretty excited to go back to school again, but it’s not like it’s the best part of my day.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I used to like math, but since previous year I actually hate it. Something that I disliked before, but now really like is Physics. This is mostly because of the teacher, but also because I kind of understand it. I also quite like English because we only have to do writing assignments, and I like writing.
What is your least favorite subject in school?
As I told in the previous question I don’t like math anymore. It became very diffecult and I am honestly not a huge fan of my teacher. I also used to like, but not dislike biology because the lessons got way more boring and we have to study an enormous shitload of crap.
How late do you wake up when you go to school?
My school starts at 8:10, so I wake up around 6:15. I wake up this early because, first of all, I’m a slow person in the morning and I like taking my time to do my make-up. Second of all, because I have to leave the house at 7:35.
How did you travel to school? By bicycle, bus, etc.
In elementary school I used to walk to school. The last two years of elementary school I got lazy and travelled there by bicycle. Now I still go to school by bicycle.
What kind of schoolbag do you use?
I use a look a like cowboybag. It’s from Daniel Ray and it’s pretty big. I will show it soon in a “What’s in my schoolbag” article.
Which beautyproducts are in your schoolbag?
Honestly I don’t like taking make-up with me to school because I won’t use it anyway. The only beauty related product I have in my bag is lipbalsem.
What kind of agenda do you have?
I have one by Hema. I love the Hema agenda’s. They won’t break throughout the years and they always have such cute patterns on them!
Whats your biggest school related fail?
That would be falling. I fall a lot. For some reason I have a very diffecult time being in balance, so when someone slightly touches me, I get out of balance. I’ve fallen several times in class. Another huge fail was when we had PE outside and I decided to sit down on the grass. Not knowing it was wet, and when I stood up, my but was completely wet. After that happened we had to sprint and everyone could see my wet bottom.
What do you do when you are bored during the lesson?
Mostly making to-do list. Pretty lame, I know, but I’m not much of a talker during the lessons. Of course, sometimes I do talk, and outside the lessons you can’t shut me up. But I honestly think it’s rude to talk during class.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?
By far my English teacher from previous year and my physics teacher. They were both very flexible and understanding. My physics teacher is very good at explaining and uses lots of examples.
Tell a fun story about something that happened in school.
I don’t know if this happens outside the Netherlands too, but in the Netherlands, at every first monday of the month the air alarm goes off. I used to not know this, and always freaked out when this happened. One time, during Dutch, the alarm went off and I completely freaked out. I ran out of the class room and yelled “GET OUT, GET OUT, QUICKLY!” and everyone was looking at me like “what the hack is she doing?”. The teacher just looked at me and after a while told me it was just the air alarm.
What do you want to become?
I would love to become a speech therapist. I think it’s such a nice proffesion. You get to help all kinds of people, people who’ve had a stroke, children, etc. I really like the diversity.
That was the School Stories TAG. Let me know in the comments what you think of this TAG and let me know if you have done this tag yourself too!
Yay for school. Your pencil bag is cute.
