Catrice Liquid Metal eyeshadow

Today I have a review about the Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow. I showed this shadow in my most recent “Budget Beauty haul” and I decided it was time to review this little beauty. If you want to know more about this shadow and it’s quality, keep on reading!

 

 

 

 

The Catrice Liquid Metal eyeshadows are a bit different than normal eyeshadows. They are packaged in a little box with a black bottom and a see through lid. The shadows are very shimmery and have a kind of 3D pattern. It looks a bit wavy. This collection of shadows are a little but more luxe. They are so beautiful!

In my eyeshadow collection I do have another one of this collection, which is a greenish color. I’m not reviewing that right now because I don’t have a picture of it before I used it and I’m not sure if it’s still available. This color is. It’s a very pretty pinky champagne color called Gold ‘N Roses. This is one of the most popular and beautiful colors of the entire collection in my opinion.

The most beautiful thing about this eyeshadow is the wavy pattern. It almost looks like you put a satin sheet in a little box. It looks so smooth and shiny. And it actually is. This shadow feels really soft and applies very smoothly. When you use it you don’t get powder everywhere, it’s not that soft that it gets powdery.

Because the shadow is that shimmery, it really lightens up your eye area. When you apply this on your lid you look so much more awake. That makes this shadow really appropriate for school days, when you’re tired and you want to look more fresh and awake. It’s also a very neutral color. It might appear quite pink on the swatch, and it is, but when you apply it on top of a bronze/brown cream shadow it looks just perfect. I love this shade so much!

The most amazing thing about this shadow would be the pigmentation. This shadow is so super pigmented. It has everything a good shadow needs to have: it’s soft, not too powdery, pigmented and it also stays on very long. I like applying my eyeshadow on top of a cream shadow so that could be part of the reason why it stays on my eyes so well, but I’m still really impressed. For a budget eyeshadow this is a huge deal!

I think that Catrice did really well adding this product to their collection. Even though it has been in stores for quite a while already, it doesn’t mean that this shadow collection doesn’t deserve any attention. I think it’s one of the best budget proof eyeshadows available nowadays.
