I know the struggle, you don’t want to wake up, but you do want to look decent and get your things sorted before you have to get out the door. Today I will share a few of my best time saving tips for mornings with you.
1. Shower in the evening.
This is something I’ve been doing for years now. Not only because I just like it better, but because it saves me a lot of time. After taking a shower in the morning I would have to blowdry my hair, moisturize my body, etc. If I shower at night, I don’t have to blowdry my hair and I won’t be in such a hurry.
2. Plan your outfit and eyeshadow look the night before.
I always like to know what I will be wearing the next day before I go to bed. This saves you so much time in the morning. You don’t have to change three times in order to find the right outfit. When you plan it the night before you can just get dressed way more quickly and you don’t have to worry about it. I really like wearing eyeshadow on a daily basis, so I do the same with my eyeshadow. This way I don’t mess it up.
3. Pack your bag the night before.
Another thing you should do the night before is pack your bag. Besides saving time, this way you won’t forget half of the things you initially wanted to take with you.
4. Make a checklist/to-do list.
This tip I found online. I’m not using it yet, but I think I will. This is for those days when you have to do quite a lot before you get out of the door. Not specifically for school. Write down everything you need to do before you go. This way you don’t forget what you need to do and you can work more efficiëntly.
5. Create a routine.
I think that everyone does have their own routine, but if you don’t, create one. An example could be: Wake up, eat breakfast, brush your teeth, do your make-up/hair, get dressed, get out the door. If you have a routine things will eventually go quicker and you don’t have to think about what you have to do next. If this doesn’t work for you, try out the previous tip!
6. Calculate the time you need.
In order to not wake up too early or too late, calculate how much time you need. You can calculate it per task or for you entire routine. You can measure it by setting a timer before you start, and stop it when you’re finished. This way you can plan your morning way more efficiëntly.
