My foundation routine

Today I want to share with you my foundation routine. I always love to watch them on Youtube, so today I will share mine. Instead of doing it in a video, I´ll be showing you all the things I do to make my skin look decent in written form. If you´re interested in seeing the products I like to use, keep on reading!

Before I start I do want to let you guys know that I do use skincare products before I apply my makeup, I´m just not showing you those things in this post because I´ve already written an article about that. This article only contains the makeup part.

First off all I like to start of with a face primer. I think this is an essential step. I´ve been using this P2 Perfect Face refine + prime 5in1 protection + care base for about a year now and I really love it. This product contains SPF and it will make sure your foundation (and other face makeup) will stay in place throughout the entire day. This product doesn’t make my skin feel oily at all, and it doesn’t break me out.

After I’ve primer my face I start with a cream concealer. The one I’m currently using is the Catrice Camouflage Cream. This one comes in the right shade, has great coverage and doesn’t look cakey. I use this one underneath my eyes because I have quite dark circles. Only a liquid concealer wouldn’t be enough to cover those bad boys up.

After that I will apply my favorite foundation/CC cream. I use the Maxfactor CC cream which contains SPF 10. I’ve been using this product for quite a long time now. I’ve already started my second tube of it and I love it a lot. The great thing about this product is that it’s medium to high coverage, but it doesn’t look like you’re wearing any makeup on your face at all. Another thing I love about it is that it comes in a really light shade, so it’s very appropriate for light skintones.

After foundation/CC cream I like to apply a bit more concealer underneath my eyes and on spots I might have on my face. I also like to apply it on the little sides on the ends of my nose because that area tends to get red during the day sometimes. My all time favorite concealer for that is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I really love this one because of the high coverage and the light shade. But, because it’s almost empty I sometimes use the Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer instead. This one is a little more yellowish and the coverage is not as great as the Collection concealer, but it’s a great product.

To make sure I won’t get shiny throughout the day I use this Essence Fix & Matte translucent loose powder. It’s a transparent powder (it’s white but when you apply it, it will become transparent). I love this one because it’s the only one that has succeeded in keeping me oil free througout the entire day. It’s also very affordable and it will last a very long time.

After the foundation part it’s time for bronzer, blush and highlighter. My all time favorite bronzer to use on a daily bases is the Hema bronzer. I like it because it’s not too pigmented so you can’t go wrong with it and it’s almost completely matt.

I change up my blush almost everyday, but the ones I grab most lately are the MNY blush and the MAC blush in dainty. I think that they are both perfect for everyday wear. Especially the MNY blush is really fall-appropriate.

To finish everything off I use a highlighter. I have quite a few, but my favorite one is my limited edition MAC highlighter in Blonde. It gives you the prettiest glow you’ve ever seen. It’s really amazing!

That was it for my foundation routine. I hope you liked reading this! Let me know which products you like to use for your foundation routine!
