P2 Refine + Prime eye shadow and fase primer

Primer is a product lots of people see as unnecessary. I think primers are a must. I have quite oily skin. In order to keep that under control and make the makeup I put on last, I need to use a good primer. I’ve tried quite a few different ones, but they were all way to oily and felt like they were full of silicones. If you want to find out if these are different, keep on reading!

Let’s start off with the face primer. I’ve been using this product for about half a year now, and it still isn’t empty. The primer comes in quite a large tube with a little pump. I always like products with pumps, not only because of hygiene, but also to be honest, just because I really like the look of it.

On the front it tells you a little bit about the primer. Since it’s in German, I can’t understand everything, but I’ve been able to figure out most of it. It basically says that it contains SPF 15 and it has a matte finish. That’s basically all I need.

The primer has quite a special texture. Unlike most primers, this one doesn’t feel oily or silicony at all. It’s actually not even that smooth. It’s not hard to blend into your skin, but it’s not as smooth as most primers. Instead of leaving you with weird feeling on your skin, this one leaves your skin feeling oil free and ready for the makeup.

The reason why people use primer is to make a product stay, so it might be nice if I told you wether or not this product does that for you. I would say that it does help your makeup stay on. When I come home after a long day of school and work, my makeup will still look perfect like I just applied it. I think that’s really amazing!

The Perfect Face Refine + Prime 5 in 1 protection + care base is available at DM for €5,95.

The next product is the P2 Perfect Eyes Refine + Prime eye base. I was running out of eye primer, so I just went with this one, knowing that P2 products are great, but not really caring too much about it. I just needed a new one. This one comes in a slim but long tube with purple details and a white base color, just like the face primer. On the tube it says that the primer has a nude effect and that it improves the staying power of your eye makeup. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it says.

The primer has a bit of a orangy skintone color. It’s the kind of color you don’t want your foundation to be. When you blend it in the color will fade, so it’s not a problem to me at all.

The nice thing about this primer is that you need only a little teeny tiny drop of it. The amount I put on my arm for this swatch would be able to prime about 6 eyelids. Maybe even more. It’s actually still a struggle for me to get the right amount.

The swatch on the left-hand-side is without primer and on the right hand side is with. You can see a clear difference. This primer really intensifies your eyeshadows. I’m so happy it does. Most primers claim they do, but don’t really make a difference, but the P2 primer is different. I’m so impressed by it. And just like it promises, this primer really makes your eyeshadows stay all day. Just like the face primer, when I come home after a long day, my shadows always look like I just applied them.

The P2 Perfect Eyes Refine + Prime eye base is available at DM for €3,25.

Over all I’m super impressed by these primers. They really make a difference. They make your makeup last, and the eye primer really intesifies your looks. I think these are absolutely amazing, especially when you look at how affordable they are. If you’re looking for a great primer, I would really recommend trying these!

I hope you enjoyed reading this review, and let me know wether or not you use primers!
