Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil

In my entire makeup loving life I’ve never really tried an actual lip pencil. I just never did for some reason. Luckily for me I got the chance to try one, because it literally changed my life. Well, actually, that’s a bit extreme, but it did make my life a lot better. If you want to read more about this particular lip pencil, keep on reading!

This is the Maybelline Color Drama Lip pencil in the color 140 Minimalist. It’s  a very pretty nude color, which basically goes with anything. I really like that.

When it comes to the packaging I think Maybelline did a great job. The pencil is quite big, which is great. This way filling in your lips will not last as long as with a smaller one, but it’s also small as in length. It doesn’t take in much space, so it’s perfect to take with you.

As I mentioned before, Minimalist is a very pretty nude color. It’s a pretty medium pink shade with some glitter in it. I like that the glitter doesn’t really show up on the lip since it’s actually matte so that would just look kinda odd I think.

The pencil is a bit velvety, but not too much. It’s not like the Clinique Chubby Stick. It’s more like a combination between those and a normal lip pencil.

The color is very pigmented as you can tell. To me this is the perfect everyday lip color. It goes with any kind of look, whether it’s a black smokey eye, a neutral eyeshadow look or just a simple coat of mascara that you’re wearing, this lip product will go with it.

The pencil does feel a little bit dry on the lips, but if you apply a little bit of lipbalm before applying it, that won’t be a problem anymore.

Well, I think I found a new favorite! This pencil really showed me that lip pencils can also be worn on it’s own in a good way. I really love the color, the texture and the staying power. I’m pretty sure Im going to be buying more of these.
