2x Lipstick

In yesterday’s haul I showed you guys that I got two new lipsticks. One by Catrice and one by Hema. I think they are both really special, and even though the Catrice one is going to be discontinued, worth a review. So if you’re interested, keep on reading!

The first one I’m going to be talking about is the Hema Pretty Lips Lipgloss. I personally refer to it as a lipstick since it just really looks like a lipstick to me. The lipstick comes in this gorgeous red shiny packaging. It’s slim and simple, but still very elegant. I really love the packaging.

As it says on the front this lipstick contains SPF 15. I really like it when products have SPF in it, since it is actually important, and if it wasn’t for these products I would forget to put something on.

The lipstick is in the shade Dusty Pink, which is a really pretty neutral pinky shade. When I was swatching all the colors, this was the one I liked the least. The funny thing is that in the end, this color is the only color I bought.

The thing I like so much about this lipstick range is that they are sheer. Lately I’ve really been into sheer lipsticks. What I like about sheer lipsticks is that it gives you the possibility to wear crazy colors like red, coral or bright pink without it looking extreme. Even though this one is neutral, I still like that about it.

Another thing I love about this lipstick is that it is very smooth and soft on the lips. The way it feels is comparable to the way a lipbalm feels. It’s not annoying at all, which makes this one perfect for those of you that hate the heavy lipstick feeling.

The color is pretty sheer as I mentioned before, but still really pretty. I think that this is a perfect everyday color. My lips tend to be very unpigmented and dead looking, so this lipstick is a must for me. It really brings back the life to my lips.

The Hema Pretty Lips Lipgloss is available at the Hema stores for €4,50.

Onto the next lipstick. This is a Catrice lipstick from the Ultimate Shine range. This entire range is going to leave stores pretty soon, so if you want to get any lipsticks from this range, I suggest you go quick. This one was on sale for half the price, which is why I took it with me.

The lipstick comes in this gorgeous shiny packaging. I really love the look of it, it looks very chique to me.

This lipstick is in the shade Red Or Bad, which is a really pretty red color with a orangy under tone. I have to say that I usually gravitate towards neutral lipsticks, so a color like this is really outside my comfort zone. The reason I bought it is that this one, just like the Hema one, is also pretty sheer. And because it is sheer, it’s wearable enough in my opinion.

What I love about this is that it’s not too thick. The other Catrice lipsticks are quite thick and creamy and look horrible on me, but this one isn’t. It’s a lot more glossy.

I’m sorry the swatch is a little out of focus.

As you can see, this color is quite pigmented. Even though it’s sheer, you can still see the color. I like that a lot. I have worn this color quite often since I bought it, and I’ve never regretted buying it or putting it on. These kind of sheer but bright lipsticks are really perfect for those of you that just don’t want a dark heavy lip, but do want some color. It’s really amazing.

The Catrice Ultimate Shine Lipstick is available at the drugstore for €2,00 (on sale).

Over all I can say I’m very positive about both lipsticks. I love both of them a lot, which makes deciding which one to wear really hard for me.

I really hope you enjoyed reading this review, and let me know which one is your favorite!
