My favorite way of removing makeup is using a Micellar water. It’s super easy and simple and it works for everything. For 2 year I’ve been a huge fan of the Bioderma Micellar waters, but lately I’ve been testing one out by Garnier. If you’re interested in finding out if it’s equally as amazing, keep on reading!
The Micellar Water comes in this big clear bottle. The details are pink. I really love the packaging. I especially like the font they used. That might be a little nerdy, but it makes me happy. Besides that I think it’s nice that it’s clear so you can see where you’re at. I love the look of it a lot, even better than the look of the Bioderma bottles.
One bottle contains 400 ml of products, which according to Garnier equals 200 uses. I think I’ve used it a lot more often, and it’s still not empty, but it’s a nice little detail. The product is hypoallergenic and free from perfume. This makes it perfect for everyone, even for those of you that struggle with sensitive skin.
Garnier promises that with this product you can remove your makeup, soothe and hydrate your face, eye area and lips in one step. I think thats a big promise. Especially since I don’t think it’s super hydrating. For me that’s great, since I struggle with oily skin, but I do think it’s a down side for those of you that have a different skin type.
The fact that you can remove all of the makeup that is on your skin in one step is true. You can use this for your face, eye and lip makeup. If you’re wearing a soft look one cotton pad is enough, but when you’re wearing a full face or waterproof mascara, one is not enough.
Besides the promise that it will do all those things at once, it promises some other things too. On the back it says that this product will make your skin look different. They do not say what they mean with different, but you can see that for yourself. I have to say that besides the fact that it’s a great remover, it hasn’t done a lot for my skin. My skin is exactly the same as it was before I started using it.
As I mentioned before, this product is fragnance free. That is a plus, that is true, but on the other hand it is not a plus at all. To be honest this water smells like sewerage. I’m used to it now, but at first that really held me back from using it.
Even though this product has some down sides, it’s still a good product. I love the way it works. It’s not as amazing as the Bioderma Micellar Water, but it’s pretty amazing. It removes all of your makeup and your skin won’t be left feeling dry. I think this is a great alternative for the Bioderma one.
The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is available at drugstores for €6,49.
I really hope you enjoyed reading it, and let me know what your favorite Micellar Water is!
