Today I have another budget proof review for you guys. I have had this product in my collection for quite some time now, but I still wanted to do a review on it, just because I love it so much. The product I’m talking about is the Eyes Lips Face Contouring Blush & Bronzer. If you’re interested in seeing more, keep on reading!
The E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzer comes in a little black box. It reminds me of the NARS packagings, on which it is inspired. I like the look of it a lot. It’s very basic but clean, which is always nice.
The powder comes in 4 different shades. I decided to go for the one called St. Lucia because I’ve heard so many great things about this particular one, I really wanted to try it out. The palette consists out of a shimmery rose golden blush and a slightly shimmery bronzer.
Most people prefer matte bronzers when it comes to contouring. I personally like that better too, but this one is an exception. The thing is that even though it does have shimmer in it, it will still look really natural and normal on your skin. When applied, the glitters are barely visible. I really like that, because it makes it perfect for contouring.
I also love love love that the bronzer is not too dark for me. I thought it was at first, but I decided to try it anyway and found out it isn’t too dark at all. It’s the perfect shade. So if you’re very pale like me, this bronzer will suit your skin tone too.
Besides the bronzer, there is also a blush in this palette. I think E.L.F. did great creating a rosy gold color since they are pretty popular. I do have another rose gold blush by E.L.F. which is even prettier, but a lot more shimmery than this one. I think that’s more appropriate if you’re looking for a Nars Orgasm dupe. This one is slightly less shimmery and a lot less extreme. Even though this does give your cheeks the worlds most gorgeous glow, it’s pretty natural.
The best thing about this product is that you have your blush and bronzer all in the same place, which makes this little palette perfect for travelling. The blush goes with almost every look and the bronzer is very appropriate for contouring.
When it comes to pigmentation, E.L.F. definitely went for the win. These two products are very pigmented. When it comes to bronzers, I do kind of like less pigmented ones so you can’t go that wrong with it. When using this one I would recommend being a little more careful.
The blush is very pigmented as well, but doesn’t look as heavy on the cheeks as it does on the swatch. You have to keep in mind that when you apply it using a brush everything will look a lot less harsh than when you apply or swatch it using your fingers.
All together I have to say I’m a huge fan of this E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzer palette. The colors are gorgeous and the pigmentation is just perfect. If there would have been a highlighter in this palette as well it would have been everything you need in the same place, but two things you need in the same place is great too right?!
The E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzer is available at eyeslipsface.com for €4,-.
I hope you enjoyed reading this review, and let me know which blush and bronzer is your favorite!
