Finding the perfect mascara has always been an important part of my beauty shopping related life. I did find mascara’s I liked along the way, but none of them were the one. A while ago when I went shopping I got a little set including a Maxfactor mascara and nail polish with my purchase, which I’m going to be reviewing today. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The first product I’m going to be discussing is the Maxfactor Masterpiece Transform Mascara. I’ve read lots of reviews on it, but I never really thought I would actually buy it myself. In my opinion Maxfactor mascara’s are pretty pricey and since I’m trying to save up my money I let things like this slip by. Because I did buy two other Maxfactor products I got this one which I was and still am very excited about.
The Maxfactor Masterpiece Transform mascara comes in a slightly big black tube with gold detailing. I really love the look of it. It looks very professional and stylish. It’s just really pretty.
One of the most important things when it comes to mascara’s is the wand. This mascara has a very special one. I’ve never owned or seen one like this before. The wand is very flexible and flat. The sides are thin and the top is very flat and relatively wide. I wasn’t sure whether or not I would actually like that, but now I am. I do not like it, I LOVE it! I really, really love the way it separates my lashes and lengthens them. It makes them look very natural and clean, but still very voluminous. I love that combo!
I’m pretty much incapable of taking clear pictures of my eye, so I’m sorry if it’s not that clear, but this is what it looks like on my lashes. Once again I’m sorry about my wild brows, I’m going to take care of them right when I finish typing this! Back to the mascara. I feel like this picture does make them look a little less voluminous than they are, but it does show how great it separates them. As you can tell there are no clumps whatsoever. I love that! The wand is also great for applying mascara on your bottom lashes. It doesn’t clump them together at all!
The thing I love about this mascara is that it actually stays on my lashes. I have struggled a lot the past couple of months with my mascara ending up underneath my eyes within two hours. Even waterproof ones. This one doesn’t. My lashes do feel quite hard after applying it, but that makes sure that it doesn’t go anywhere. I like that!
I think I can finally say I found the perfect mascara. It separates the lashes, it lengthens them and it adds tons of volume. Besides that it also stays in plays all day, while it isn’t even a waterproof mascara! I absolutely love this stuff.
The Maxfactor Masterpiece Transform Mascara is available at drugstores for €16,99.
Then on to the next product which is the Maxfactor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish. First of all, ain’t this little baby cute? It’s the tiniest little nail polish I’ve seen. It’s so cute! Even though the packaging itself is pretty boring, I do like it. I think the black and gold color combination gives it that vintage look which I actually really like.
This nail polish is in the shade Pandora Baby, which I believe is Limited Edition. Pandora Baby is a really pretty deep red purply color. It’s a really special color. It reminds me of the dark lipstick color everyone was wearing past winter. It’s really pretty!
The quality of the nail polish is impressive as well. The coverage is great and it lasts about 4 days which is more than decent. It doesn’t survive work, but that’s a lot to ask from a nail polish. The only thing that bothered me was that it didn’t dry as quick as I hoped. I still ended up having these super annoying marks on my nails after a good night sleep.
The Maxfactor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish is available at drugstores for €5,99.
Over all I’m very positive about these two products. I especially recommend the mascara. It has been my favorite mascara so far. Even though it’s not the cheapest one, I do think it’s worth the money. The nail polish is also very pretty and definitely worth the try!
I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which mascara is your all time favorite!
