Spring Makeup Essentials

When the seasons change I always like changing up the makeup products I use. Today I would like to show you guys the products I think are essentials during spring. If you want to know which products I would recommend for spring, keep on reading!

First things first, I would start off my makeup look with a lightweight foundation like a CC or BB cream. Especially on warmer days I love keeping my foundation light and fresh. It will look way more natural and won’t look weird if you sweat a little. My current favorite is still the Maxfactor CC cream.

I also love setting my foundation with a translucent powder. I prefer loose ones, but since I ran out of mine I like using this pressed one too. I don’t really care about the brand, if it’s translucent and if it keeps my face matte all day I’m fine.

To make your cheeks look a little flushed and healthy I love using the Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush. I really love a color like this during the spring time because it gives me that gorgeous healthy flush on my cheeks. It might look a little dark in the pot but trust me, when applied it’s the most gorgeous blush you’ve ever seen.

To finish off the cheeks I like using a highlighter. I love highlighting my face, especially during spring and summer. When the sun hits the highlighter particles on your face you’ll glow like you’re a goddess. My favorite budget proof one is by far the E.L.F. Baked Highlighter.

Waterproof mascara is actually an essential for me all year round since I have pretty watery eyes, but I do think it’s important to have a good waterproof mascara in your collection during spring time. You never know whether you’re going to the beach, the pool. Besides that it’s also great for those days where it’s very warm and your makeup will sweat off or when it’s very rainy and you have to cycle to school.

My favorite waterproof mascara’s are the Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express mascara and the Maxfactor Clump Defy mascara both in waterproof obviously. If you’re looking for a mascara that adds a ton of volume to your lashes I would recommend the Maybelline one. If you prefer nice separated lashes I suggest you go for the Maxfactor one.

To finish off the look you could either use a tinted lipbalm of a lipstick. The thing I like about tinted lipbalms is that they moisturise your lips as well as tint them. It’s pretty light on the lips and if will protect your lips from drying out. Especially when you’re going to the beach or some place else where you’re exposed to the sun I would recommend a tinted lipbalm (preferably with SPF in it) so the sun won’t dry out your lips.

My favorite tinted lipbalms are the Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Lip Balm in the shade Charming Coral which is a very pretty spring proof lipbalm and the Maybelline Baby Lips. I love all Baby Lips but my favorites are the Dr. Rescue ones.

If you do prefer a lipstick/gloss these are my recommendations. The Yves Rocher Caring Lipstick in the shade Corail Voilé is a very big favorite of mine. The texture is absolutely amazing. It feels very light and moisturising on the lips and the color is absolutely gorgeous. Another favorite of mine is the Rimmel London Provocalips in the Shade Dare To Pink. The thing I love about this one is that it will literally stay on your lips all day and after a few minutes you don’t even feel it on your lips any more!

The last recommendation is the Essence Lip Candies Lip Care in the shade Sugar Shock. This lipgloss feels very soft on the lips and actually takes care of them. The color is obviously very spring proof as well.
