Today I’m going to be reviewing the Oriflame The One Illuskin Foundation. I’ve never really used any Oriflame product before, so I was very excited to try this product. If you want to know whether if turned out to be a hit or a miss, keep on reading!
The foundation comes in this super pretty glass bottle with gold letters on it and a purple pump. I really like foundations with pumps, it works nice and it’s hygienic. Besides that I also think that it gives the foundation a more professional and luxurious look. The overall look of the packaging is in my opinion amazing. I absolutely love it.
I have the foundation in the shade Neutral Beige which is way too dark for me. I might be able to use it when I’m a little more tanned, but for right now it’s not a match. Even though it isn’t my color, I still decided to test it. Just because it seems like a great product.
The foundation actually has SPF 20 in it which is very nice. They say you always have to wear sunscreen on your face, even when it’s not sunny. I honestly don’t do that myself so I really appreciate foundations with SPF in it so I’m still somewhat protected. The bottle itself contains 30 ml of foundation which is a normal amount.
The only thing it says on the back is that it’s a foundation and that you have to avoid eye contact. It doesn’t really say what it’s supposed to do to your skin or anything like that. Luckily the Oriflame site does give us a little bit more in depth information about this product. They say that the Oriflame Illuskin foundation is a lightweight foundation with a satin finish. It’s supposed to look natural and it should be moisturising but not greasy.
The foundation itself is pretty runny. It’s not a thick foundation which I really like. It is very blendable and indeed very lightweight. I really like the way it felt on the skin. Even though I didn’t expect the promises to be true, I do kind of believe it. While blending it I honestly did feel difference. The foundation felt very smooth and soft. I honestly think it’s actually moisturising and that it does actually give you that satin finish. I really like that.
Besides the fact that this is absolutely not the right shade for me, I do really like this foundation and I definitely want to try it in the right shade. It feels so lightweight on the skin and super silky. I really love it!
The Oriflame The One Illuskin foundation is available at their webshop for €17,-.
