Essence recently came out with a new limited edition collection called “Cinderella”. The eye catcher in this collection was definitely the highlighter for me. And even though I’m not that big of an Essence fan, I decided to buy it. If you’re interested in finding out whether this Cinderella highlighter is worth your money, keep on reading!
The highlighter comes in a pretty basic packaging. They didn’t really go all out for it. It’s basically the same as their normal packagings for some of their powders. The only thing that makes this powder stand out a little is that it says Cinderella on the front in really pretty silver letters.
I do like that the packaging is transparent, because now you can immediately see what’s inside. And the thing inside is definitely worth being seen. I really love the pattern of the powder itself. It’s gorgeous. Super fairy tale like.
The highlighter is slightly different from my other highlighters colorwise. This one is a lot cooler toned than the highlighters I usually gravitate towards, but I do really like it. I would describe it as a bit of an off-white color with a pink/lilacy sheen to it. I think that that combo is really unique and pretty. But my favorite thing about this highlighter has to be the gorgeous glow it provides. When I saw it in the store I knew that this was going to be a gorgeous piece and I was totally right.
It was pretty difficult to capture the glow, but I managed to do it when I stood close to the window, so I’m sorry for the ugly background, it was the only way. It does really show its beauty on that picture. Isn’t is gorgeous! Despite that I also think the rosy pattern is really, really pretty. It definitely adds something to the over all look.
The highlighter itself is also pretty pigmented. It’s not one of those highlighters that look good in the packaging, but won’t show up on your skin ’cause this baby will. I really love the way it makes my cheeks look. So pretty and glowy. I love it a lot! I really think Essence did a great job creating this highlighter. They should have something similar in their normal collection!
Over all I’m really, really excited about this highlighter. I think it’s gorgeous. The only downside is that it’s only available for a short period of time and they are sold out pretty quickly. So if you want it, don’t wait too long!
The Essence Cinderella Highlighter is available at drugstores for €3,39.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know if you bought anything from this gorgeous LE!
