Macely Good Afternoon BB Cream

BB creams have been quite popular over the last few years. Almost every brand tried to create their own perfect BB cream. Today I’m testing a BB cream that is a little different from the ones we are used to, this is an actual Asian BB cream. If you’re interested, you should keep on reading!

First things first. The packaging. The packaging might be the very best thing when it comes to this BB cream. It’s adorable. It really is. The packaging looks like a little tea bag. Through the little opening you can see which “taste” you are dealing with. There are four different flavours available, which all have some different features. I decided to go for the Apple Cinnamon one. The Apple Cinnamon BB Cream is supposed to brighten your skin. Besides that it also contains SPF 36, which is quite a lot for a BB cream.

The thing that makes the difference between Western BB creams and Asian BB creams is that Asian BB creams contain lots of good ingredients. Asian BB creams are supposed to be an all in one product. It contains your moisturiser, (in this case) your sunscreen, your primer and your foundation. While Western BB creams claim to do the same, they are more like tinted moisturisers that aren’t really moisturising enough.

On the back of the tube there is a slight bit of extra information about the product. The back of the box says some things to, but in a language I don’t understand at all (I guess Chinese). The most important thing is that it says what this BB cream promises to do, which is brighten the skin color and that it contains 30 ml of product.

The thing I already love about Asian BB creams is that they are most often super light. I have super pale skin and most foundations that are available in my country are way too dark, but this little one is perfect for me. I don’t really know why they tend to be so light, but they are. The only down side is that you can’t choose the color, so if you’re not pale at all, you will probably not be able to use this BB cream.

The BB cream itself is not super thin but also not thick. It’s a nice texture. It’s pretty easy to blend and it does look quite natural on the skin. The thing I love about it is that it does have pretty great coverage. I would say medium to high coverage. I’m really happy with that, since it’s pretty unique that such a lightweight formula can be that covering. Despite that I’m also super, super happy with the fact that it actually matches my skin tone!

Another plus about this BB cream is the smell. It smells really good like apples. It’s not super cinnamony like the name does suggest, but it’s really nice and fresh. I really like that in the morning, it’s a nice scent to wake up to.

Over all I’m more than positive about this BB cream. The coverage is great, the smell is amazing, the texture is nice and the color is a perfect match for my skin tone. I also really like the way it makes my skin look and that it’s not really oily at all. It’s definitely worth the try!

The Macely Good Afternoon BB Cream is available here for $3,91. (Use the code NMEH10 to get 10% off the entire site).

And that’s about it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know which BB cream is your favorite!
