Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish Sequin

A few days ago I reviewed the Revlon Colorstay nail polish in the shade Buttercup. As I mentioned in that post I bought two polishes from that range. So today it’s time to review the other one I got. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this one is equally as pretty (or maybe even prettier), keep on reading!

The nail polish is from the same range as the Buttercup one I reviewed a few days ago, so the packaging is pretty much the same too. The only real difference is that this polish is in a different color. Buttercup was a really pretty pastel yellow color and this one, called Sequin, is a very sparkly and shiny silver color. It’s perfect for a night out, prom or any holiday. I didn’t really have anything like this yet, but I’m glad I do now.

I do have to say that I love the names Revlon gives its products. I do also think that the names are really fitting. They didn’t came up with a completely random name just to be funny like some brands kind of do.

Ok, on to the nail polish. As I mentioned before Sequin is  a very sparkly silver color, which is definitely visible on the picture. The thing I love about it is that the glitter isn’t chunky because chunky glitters are hell to get off. Another thing that makes this nail polish stand out is that it applied really nice and smooth. Some glittery nail polishes tend to dry a bit uneven, with those stripes on it, while this one is just perfectly smooth.

The nail polish has great coverage. Within one coat almost my entire nail was covered, but a second coat is necessary if you want your nail polish to fully cover up your nails.

When it comes to the finish and how easy and smoothly the application went, I would say this nail polish is better than the Buttercup one. But colorwise I do prefer Buttercup. It’s just that bit more wearable and basic. I also felt like this one dried slightly quicker than Buttercup.

The staying power is perfect by the way. That counts for both Buttercup and Sequin. They just stay on your nails for five days without even thinking about chipping. That’s absolutely insane!

Over all I’m really happy I got this nail polish. The color is very pretty and I do feel like it’s a must have for my nail polish collection. Colors like the are always nice to have. It looks good with almost every color and it’s a perfect way to glam up your outfit.

The Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish in Sequin is available at lots of webshops and at Action for €0,99.

That was it for today. I hope you liked today’s review and let me know if you’ve ever tried a Revlon nail polish!
