As some of you might know, I’m a big fan of the Bioderma Micellair water. I have been using it for ages now. But the thing about Bioderma is, is that it’s not really easy to get your hands on in most parts of the world. Therefore I love trying out other micellair waters in order to find one just as good as the Bioderma one. If you’re interested in finding out whether this one by Yves Rocher comes close to Bioderma or not, keep on reading!
The water comes in a small long greenish bottle. The one I have is specifically for combination to oily skin, but they also have a pretty similar product for other skin types. The bottle contains 200 ml of product, which is not a lot compared to the 500 ml Bioderma bottle I have. But compared to other toners and cleansers I own, it’s just a pretty normal amount.
The thing I love about this product is that it’s free of parabens, mineral oils, colorants and silicones. That’s pretty impressive. The only downside is that it does contain (quite a lot) alcohol and perfume. Too bad…
But when it comes to the way this product works, all is forgotten. I have to admit that I prefer this one over my Bioderma micellair water. I didn’t expect myself to ever say that, but to be honest, it’s just better. I only need one cotton pad and a small bit of lotion to remove all eye and brow makeup. Even waterproof mascara is gone after using this. The amazing this about it is, is that it doesn’t leave you with that greyish residue underneath or around your eyes after removing your eye makeup. It’s just gone. Literally everything. I’m so super impressed. I just can’t believe it!
So, if you have oily or combination skin, or even if you have normal skin and you’re looking for a great micellair water, get this! It’s amazing! Price wise it’s actually slightly more expensive than Bioderma when you buy it in France, but looking at online prices and international prices it’s way more affordable and way easier to get your hands on.
The Yves Rocher Purifying Cleansing 2 in 1 Lotion is available at their webshop and in their stores for €7,90 (on sale for €4,95).
I really hope you liked today’s review and be sure to let me know which micellair water you love!
