Yves Rocher Strawberry Lipbalm

Nobody loves chapped lips, so therefore it’s really important to moisturise them regularly by using a lipbalm. I try to do it multiple times a day, but I often forget. Because I’m trying to find a perfect lipbalm which I just want to use everyday, I decided to order one from Yves Rocher. Today I’ll be reviewing it. If you’re interested, keep on reading!

The lipbalm comes in a pretty basic tube. The bottom part is olive green and the top part is off white/beige toned and has a picture of a strawberry on it. I do like the simplicity of the packaging though. It’s not the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen, but it’s nice. I also like that it feels pretty strong. It’s not made of fragile plastic that will shatter in your bag, so it’s perfect to take with you when you’re going to leave the house.

The lipbalm comes in a few more scents. I chose strawberry because it’s slightly tinted and obviously because of the smell. Who doesn’t like the smell of strawberries. I have to say it does smell a little chemical, but it’s no big deal.

The lipbalm itself is pretty bright red colored. I did mention before that it’s slightly tinted. I wasn’t able to catch the color on camera because it’s just slightly tinted. I have very unpigmented lips, so for me it makes the difference between dead looking lips and alive lips, but it’s not as spectacular as the Maybelline Baby Lips for example.

When it comes to moisturising your lips this lipbalm does a great job. I’m pretty impressed. It’s not a too thick formula, so it doesn’t bother me while I’m wearing it at all but it does moisturise very well. When it has completely sunk in into my lips, my lips feel super soft and silky. I love that.

Overall I think this lipbalm is the perfect everyday basic lipbalm. It’s nothing too special but it definitely does it job. I really enjoy using it and because of this I don’t forget to put it on any more. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try a new basic but still good lipbalm!
