Not too long ago I went to Albert Heijn to buy the new Treacle Moon shower gels, but then I saw these two buddies. Because I already have quite a big collection of Treacle Moon shower gels, I decided to buy these instead. I’ve never seen them before and I’ve never heard anything about them before, so I thought it would be fun to review them today! If you’re interested, keep on reading!
These two shower gels look first off all super adorable. They have a very pretty French look to them which I love. The logo is really pretty and unique. I don’t really know how else I can describe it as French. It reminds me of the time I visited Paris. There was quite a large range of shower gels available, but these two are the nicest ones in my opinion.
The bottle contains 250 ml of product which is a nice amount. Besides that the shower gels are also pH neutral and they don’t contain parabens. They do contain alcohol and a bit of perfume, so if you mind that, you should skip these ones.
The first one I want to talk about is the shower gel in the scent Peach & Nectarine. It’s a very nice and fresh combination. This is the perfect shower gel for those moments you just want to feel really refreshed. It would also be a good one for people who take showers in the morning to feel a little bit more awake. But if you are like me and you shower at night time it’s still a very nice product to use. It’s not like you can’t go to sleep after using this.
The shower gel itself feels really nice and soft on the skin. It’s foamy but not too foamy. I really like that. After using it I do feel super clean and fresh which is basically what a shower gel should make you feel like.
The other scent I got is Cotton & Poppy. I really love anything cotton scented because if always smells really nice and warm. Like fresh laundry. The combination with poppy really perfects it. Unlike the other shower gel, this scent is a little more warm. It’s one of those nice and cosy scents that is perfect for those nights you want to pamper yourself. I really like this. The thing I like about it is that besides the warmth of the scent is still has something fresh in it. I really love the combination!
I do have to mention that the scent isn’t too strong. You can obviously smell it while using it, but when you hop out of the shower and you moisturise yourself with a nice body lotion or butter it’s basically gone. I think that’s the case with most shower gels, but it’s just something I wanted to let you know. If you don’t use body lotion afterwards you’ll only be able to smell it if you sniff really closely.
The texture of the shower gel is really nice as well. It’s in between creamy and gelly. I really love that. The bit of shower gel you see on the picture is from the cotton & poppy version. The other one is slightly more gelly and orange colored, but still pretty creamy. This combination makes the shower gel perfect for every day use.
Over all I’m positively surprised by these shower gels. I have no clue why I’ve never heard any thing about them, since they are awesome! I’m not completely sure where they sell it outside the Netherlands, so I’m sorry for that! But if you can find them anywhere, I highly recommend trying them!
The Le Petit Marseillais shower gels are available at Albert Heijn for €2,99.
That was it for today. I hope you liked today’s review and let me know if you’ve ever tried a shower gel by this brand!
Wat een leuke flesjes! Jammer dat de geur niet echt blijft hangen maar dat is idd vaker zo helaas.
