Today I have a very exciting review for you guys. It’s about the Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette. I’m a real big eyeshadow lover and I especially love nude eyeshadows. A little while ago Maybelline finally launched their The Nudes eyeshadow palette and I got my hands on the last one available in the store. It’s pretty much meant to be. Today I’ll be reviewing this beauty. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The one I bought comes in a special packaging because of the 100 year anniversary of Maybelline and ByDanie. I don’t really know what it all means and who ByDanie is, but I love the design on the front. It is in fact a sticker which if you’re not careful enough will rip off, but it is really pretty.
The colors that come in this palette is what is really important. The palette is called “The Nudes” and therefore contains a lot of pretty nude colored eyeshadows. There are a total of 12 eyeshadows in the palette. Five of them are matte, five are nice and shimmery and two are in between. They have a kind of silky finish to them. I really love that not all eyeshadows are just shimmery or just matte, but that there is a nice kind of balance between the two going on.
The color range is also really nice. This palette allows you to make a really nice and smokey eyeshadow look as well as a light and fresh look, but you can also go for something in between. I really like that they added the black in there, especially because it’s a very good black color.
The texture of the eyeshadows is really nice as well. They are very easy to work with and they blend nicely. The colors are very buildable, so if you want a light look you don’t have to worry about not being able to use some of the darker colors, and if you prefer a slightly more smokey look you totally can.
I do in fact which that there were a few more eyelid colors in the palette. There are only three colors I would use as an eyelid color in there, which is not a lot compared to how many not-eyelid colors that are in here.
When it comes to pigmentation Maybelline did a good job. You can’t really tell that the third color is there, but that’s only because it’s really close to my skin color. In real life you will be able to see it. The bronzy shade is by far the best one of the palette. It’s super, super pigmented and super nice and creamy. I don’t get why only one color is like this, but I do like that at least one color is like that.
The second row is also very nicely pigmented. I was trying to be careful with the black so it wouldn’t get everywhere but it’s still super pigmented. Even if you swatch it with a light hand. For affordable brands that is a really big deal.
Over all I do think that this Maybelline The Nude palette is a big fat hit! The colors are really pretty and you can make tons of different looks with it. The colors are nicely pigmented and easy to work with. It’s a perfect palette for a everyday eyeshadow look!
The Maybelline The Nudes palette is available at drugstores for €15,99.
I really hope you liked reading today’s review and let me know which nude palette is your favorite!

Hele mooie kleuren! Wel jammer dat er wat minder ‘ooglid’ kleuren bijzitten. Dat zoek ik momenteel juist 🙂
