In the past I showed you guys my morning routine so to me it felt like more than appropriate to also share my night routine with you guys. I know that most night routines come in videos, but I prefer writing articles instead of filming video’s, so that’s what I’m going to do today. If you’re interested in finding out which products I use in the evening and which steps I go through to get ready for bed, keep on reading!
The first step in my night routine is removing my makeup. Before I take a shower I always remove my eye makeup. Only my eye makeup because that takes the longest to get off. To do that I use the Yves Rocher Micellair Water for oily skin. This removes 99% of my eye makeup. When I finish doing that I hop right into the shower.
The first product I use underneath the shower is the Nivea Aqua Effect Refreshing Cleansing Foam. I wrote a pretty detailed review on this not too long ago, so if you’re interested, check that out. This is perfect for removing the rest of my makeup.
Lastly for skin care I use the Etos Perfect Skin Deep Cleansing Scrub. I use this to make my skin extra clean and soft and to get the last bits and pieces of makeup removed. Before I started using this one I used one by Nivea, which is honestly a lot better, but it would be a waste not using this.
When I’m done with cleansing my skin I start with washing my hair. To do that I use my favorite shampoo which is the Herbal Essences Clearly Naked shampoo. This one doesn’t have any silicones, parabens, etc. in it, which makes it perfect for my hair. It’s also supposed to be volumizing which is a nice extra.
For conditioner I like using the Balea Professional Glossy Brown Conditioner. This one is also free from silicones and works great for my hair. Sadly I’m almost running out of it, and I’ll only be able to repurchase it in about 2 months, so I only use this on days I really need my hair to look good. On other days I use either the Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Conditioner or one by Schwartzkopf.
While my conditioner is doing it’s job I like to brush my teeth using the Hema Everclean Whitening Toothpaste. I really like the Hema toothpastes because they’re all very settle but still give you that amazing fresh feeling. This particular version is one of my favorites. I like it because it doesn’t make my teeth sensitive like most whitening toothpastes do, it’s very settle but effective.
After that I start washing my body. I use a different shower gel almost everyday, but one of my favorites at the moment is the Le Petit Marseillias shower gel in the scent peach & nectarine. It’s a very fresh scent which is perfect for the summer.
When I’m done washing my body I rinse the shower gel off and then I’ll get the conditioner out of my hair as well. Then I get out of the shower and dry my body.
The first thing I do after I get out of the shower is put some deodorant on. I love using this Balea Sensitive one. Just like the conditioner it’s almost empty, but because I don’t care as much about deodorant I just use it every day. It’s very simple and has a very neutral smell which I like. I don’t like using strongly scented deodorants since I tend to dislike the scent, and if I don’t dislike it as first I will after using it multiple times.
Then I moisturise my body using a super amazing smelling body lotion or butter. I switch up between the ones I have a lot, but this one by Garnier is probably the one I use most often. The scent is just perfect and I feel like this bottle will last me forever.
Lastly I cleanse my skin one more time using the Nivea Aqua Effects Refreshing Tonic, which I review not too long ago as well and if I feel like it I’ll put on a night cream. I don’t do that as often as I should, but if I do I mostly use the Ritzo Night Rebalancing Cream. I really love the scent of it!
And that was it! I hope you enjoyed reading my night routine and let me know which products you use at night time!
