Products I Regret Buying

A lot of the times when I buy makeup I really love the product, but every now and then I don’t. Most of my reviews are about products I really like, but today I want to share the products I don’t like. The products I regret spending money on. The first product I regret buying is this Rimmel London lipstick. I found this at a discount store and because I didn’t have any Rimmel lipsticks I just bought it. It was pretty affordable, but looking at how often I’ve worn it and the color, I still think it’s a waste. I don’t really get why I bought it, because if I look at it now I would say that the color is awful. I really dislike the metallic finish and to be honest I’ve only worn it once. When I just got it. After that I never felt like putting it on. No, this is definitely not a match for me.

Next up is the Bourjois Blush in Rose. I bought this such a long time ago. I was a pretty big fan of the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and I wanted to try something else by Bourjois. I wish I actually tried something else than this because it disappointed me big time. When I bought it I was so excited because it was a pretty expensive blush to buy, it was the most expensive one in my collection at the time. I went outside and I immediately tried it on. My friend at the time bought the same blush and tried it on as well. Sadly we were both disappointed in a split second. There was just no color pay off at all. It was absolutely invisible. This is really one of those products you’re super excited about and you want to like, but it’s not. The only thing I like about it is the scent, but that’s all.

The next product I regret buying is the Essence LE Hidden Stories highlighter. I found this in one of those sale baskets at the drugstore. I wasn’t really attracted to it when it was still available, but because it was on sale I decided to give it a go. Well again, no color pay off at all. It does absolutely nothing. I’m glad this was a limited edition and that it’s not available any more, because it’s crap.

Next up is another Essence product. It’s the Essence All About Matt High Covering Concealer. I bought it because I ran out of my favorite concealer and I needed something to replace it. I read some good reviews on this one, so I decided to give it a go. When I swatched it the color seemed like a perfect match for me, but after I applied it, it turned orange. I don’t know why or how, but for some reason this just doesn’t look good.

I also don’t like the amount of coverage it’s giving me. I have pretty bad dark circles and one layer of this is not enough to cover that up, but if I apply two layers the orange color will just be too much. I really wanted to like it, but I don’t.

The last two products are two brushes by E.L.F. I heard so many good things about these that I decided to just buy 4 of their eyeshadow brushes and one of their blending brushes. I’m glad they are only €1 each, because it would be such a waste of money if they were expensive. I just don’t like the hairs at all. Some of the eyeshadow brushes are softer than the others (while they are all exactly the same), but none of them is really nice to use. The blending brush is also pretty rough and honestly hurts my eyes when I use it, and I don’t even have sensitive skin!
