It has already been a while since I ran out of my favorite concealer, but because I’m trying to save up my money I decided to not buy a new one, but finish the ones I have laying around. Because of that decision I rediscovered the Maybelline Pure Cover Mineral Concealer, which has been a favorite of mine a while ago. Today I’m going to review it for you guys. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The Maybelline Pure Cover Mineral Concealer comes in a petite round tube with an applicator similar to lipgloss applicators, which I really like. The tube contains 5 ml of product, which is a normal amount of product for a concealer. The thing I like about the packaging is that the lid is brown with purple shimmers in it, as well as the little round sticker on the front. I think that in combination with the blue and white details looks really pretty.
The thing that makes this concealer so special is that it’s a mineral concealer. It’s made out of water and 12 minerals (according to the packaging), which is not very common for a concealer. Despite the fact that the whole mineral thing is a good thing, I’m not sure if I feel or see any difference between this concealer and a regular one.
The most important thing a concealer has to do for me is conceal my under eye circles, or at least reduce the darkness. I have pretty bad under eye circles, so I know it’s a lot to ask, but it is important to me. When I was looking through my stash trying to find a concealer to use on a daily basis until I’m able to buy a new one, I didn’t expect this one to be as amazing as my old concealer was, but I decided to just accept that this was the best option for now and just roll with it. But I was actually surprised when I put this on for the first time. It covers up my under eye circles extremely well.
Besides that I also love that this concealer is not super thin like the Oriflame The One concealer which I tried using before this but also not as thick as the Collection lasting perfection concealer, which makes blending it into the skin super easy. It looks very natural and not as cakey as the Collection concealer can look.
Another thing about this concealer that impressed me was that it stays on all day. As I mentioned before I didn’t really expect a lot from this concealer, especially not that it would last all day, but it does. At the end of the day when I’m removing my makeup there’s always concealer on the cotton pad. Even when I’ve had a long day it’s still there at the end. I really like that about it.
The last thing I want to mention is that besides all the awesomeness, it’s also a very affordable concealer. It’s not available at the normal drugstores where you’d normally buy your Maybelline goods (at least not in the Netherlands), but it is available at discount stores like Big Bazar for such a small price. That really tops everything off.
I think it’s pretty clear that I love this concealer. To be honest I’m thinking about repurchasing it when I run out. I’m starting to think I like it better than the holy Collection Lasting Perfection concealer! If you come across this one and you’re looking for a new concealer or you’re willing to try a new one, I highly recommend giving this one a go, I absolutely love it!
That was it for today. I hope you liked reading today’s review and let me know which concealer you really love!
I love this concealer! I use it everyday! So perfect for summer! Mind checking out my blog?

Unfortunately, Maybelline discontinued this concealer about 3 years ago in Europe and North America. It used to be my holy grail concealer, but is nowhere to be found in stores theses days. 😦
