As most of you guys probably know I love eyeshadow. It’s my favorite makeup product and I love spending lots of money on it. I love buying myself a gorgeous expensive eyeshadow palette every now and then, which is what I recently did. I decided to buy the Stila Eyes Are The Window eyeshadow palette in Soul because I saw it on Sophie’s blog and I fell in love. If you’re interested in finding out whether it was worth my money, keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the gorgeous packaging. The Stila Eyes Are The Window palette comes in a gorgeous gold square packaging. I really, really love the look of it. It’s the most luxurious looking palette I have ever seen and it’s the prettiest one packaging wise in my collection. The thing that makes it feel even more luxurious is the fact that it’s on the heavier side. Not like it’s impossible to hold, but it’s not super lightweight. I feel like the fact that it’s a little bit heavier than other palettes makes it feel more luxurious.
The palette contains 12 eyeshadows including Kitten, which made really excited. I once saw Ingrid from Missglamorazzi use Kitten and I fell in love. I always wanted it and now I finally, after 4 years, got my hands on it. Besides Kitten there are lots of other really pretty eyeshadows in the palette. Most are shimmery but there are also a few matte colors in there, which is great.
When it comes to the color selection I’m really positive. The colors in this palette are pretty much all perfect for me. There is no color in here that I wouldn’t wear, which is pretty unique when it comes to eyeshadow palettes. I really like that the highlighter is matte and that there are a few different matte browns in there. The glittery shadows are super gorgeous too.
Besides Kitten, my favorite color to use is Peace, which is the brown color besides the black one. It has a bit of a purplish undertone like most brown colors in this palette do, which is something I absolutely love. The color underneath (on the left on this picture) Kitten, which goes by the name Thought is also really pretty. I love that there are multiple eyelid proof colors in this palette.
Another thing I love about it is that you can create a lot of different looks using this palette. You can create an all matte neutral look, a super shimmery party look, a day time look but also a very dark evening look or even a smokey eye. This palette basically allows you to create any look you want, which is a huge plus about it.
When it comes to the texture of the eyeshadows I’m really positive as well. They are very easy to work with, but not too easy. Some cheaper eyeshadows tend to be a bit too blendable, because of which your eyeshadow look will end up looking like one big blurry mess. That’s luckily not the case with this palette. They do blend nicely, but not too nicely. Besides that the shadows are also not super powdery and it doesn’t take a million layers for it to show up on the eyelid.
The staying power of these eyeshadows is very impressive too. In short; they stay all day. The shadows look amazing when you apply them, they look amazing throughout the day and they look perfect at the end. They do not lose any intensity throughout the day and they won’t crease.
Okay these swatches turned out horribly, but that’s just because I’m basically incapable of taking proper pictures of swatches. If you want to see proper swatches, I’ll suggest you check out Sophie’s review because this doesn’t look good. Because the swatches turned out this bad I’ll show you guys a picture of a look I created using this palette.
When it comes to pigmentation this palette is actually amazing. In fact this is the most pigmented eyeshadow palette I have ever had. Every single color in here, from the mattes to the shimmery colors are super, super pigmented. They are all super intense. The shadows are buildable, but it’s not really needed.
As promised, here is the eyelook I created using this palette. I used Kitten all over the lid, Individual as a blending color in the crease, Peace as a crease color and Light as highlighting color. I really love the way this looked turned out. But honestly, I feel like any look including Kitten will end up looking amazing. This look has definitely been my go-to look ever since I got this palette, but because I don’t want to run out of the shadows I challenge myself to create different looks with it as well.
And that was it. That was my review of the Stila Eyes Are The Window palette. Even though my swatches don’t show it, this palette is super pigmented and the eyeshadows are really intense and easy to work with. The color selection is amazing and the staying power is impressive. I’m extremely happy I got this palette, it was definitely worth every single penny.

Wat prachtig! Helaas wat aan de dure kant!
Heel mooi, alleen jammer dat het pigment van de eerste rij niet top is. Ook best prijzig.
Wow, wat een luxe palette! Jammer dat het aan de dure kant is.
