A few days ago I posted a big beauty haul. In that haul I showed you guys I went to Prijsmepper, where I got myself a really pretty Gosh nail polish. I’ve never tried any nail polish by Gosh because I think they’re kind of over priced, so when I found one on sale in a really pretty color I had to buy it. Today I’m going to review it for you guys and show you guys what it looks like on my nails. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The Gosh nail polishes come in a really simple but pretty packaging. The bottom part is just glass and the top part is made out of semi-matte plastic. I really like how simple it is. It gives it a pretty professional look in my opinion. The size of the bottle is average, it contains 8 ml of polish. Personally, I don’t really care about how much product a nail polish contains because I have never finished a nail polish, so why worry about that.
The brush that comes with the polish is really nice. It definitely makes applying the polish a lot easier. It’s not too big, not too small. It basically is the perfect size.
The color I have is called “Miss Minty”, but on the Superdrug site they call it just “Minty”. Kind of strange, but not really important. Miss Minty is a really gorgeous bright mint color. I love mint a lot. I love mint clothing, mint objects and mint nail polish. I think it’s such a fun and bright color. It instantly brightens up my day for some reason. Besides that it’s also a pretty trendy color. Not as trendy as last summer, but it’s definitely still popular.
One of the most important features of a nail polish to me is the drying time. I really hate it when I apply nail polish in the afternoon, go to bed and wake up the next morning with those annoying marks in your nail polish why you were sure it was completely dry the night before. Luckily this one dries pretty quickly. After about half an hour you can already use your hands (you still have to be slightly careful, but not as careful as you have to be when you just applied it) and after a good 3 to 4 hours it’s completely dry.
When it comes to the coverage I’m positive as well. I only needed two layers of polish to achieve full coverage which is great. I do have to say that the second coat is definitely necessary if you want full coverage, but that’s not a real big deal. Besides that I also really love the look of this color on my nails. It’s super bright and happy. It’s definitely summer proof.
Lastly I want to talk about the staying power. I didn’t expect this polish to be outstanding or anything, but in fact I kind of is. The polish stayed on my nails for 4 days straight without losing any of it’s intensity or shine. I think that’s impressive, considering the fact that I don’t have strong nails at all.
I think it’s obvious that I really like this nail polish. The color is pretty, the coverage is impressive, the staying power is great and it dries pretty quickly. I’m really glad I got it. I definitely think a minty color like this one is just a staple in every nail polish collection!
The Gosh Nail Polish in Miss Minty is available at Superdrug for £3,99 and at Kruidvat for €7,29.
That was it for today. I really hope you liked today’s review and let me know if you’ve ever tried a nail polish by Gosh.
