A while ago Bornprettystore asked me if I wanted to review some of their products. I’ve done that before and I was really glad and honoured they wanted me to review more so I said yes. I chose three products, from which I already reviewed two in the past couple of weeks and today I’m going to be reviewing the last one. The last product is an eyeliner. I don’t use eyeliner too often, but because this one looked pretty good to me I decided to make an exception. If you’re interested in finding out whether it’s worth it or not, keep on reading!
First things first, the packaging. I think the packaging is the main reason why I was attracted to this eyeliner. It’s special and a little outrageous. I think it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I kind of like it. The pencil is gold and has a shimmery gold lid and a black piece at the end. The middle part is decorated with a gorgeous picture or a leopard. I think that looks really pretty and unique.
The pencil is a little wider than the usual pencil, but it’s not one of those jumbo eye pencils. The black part at the end allows you to twist the pencil up when it’s needed and therefore there is no need to sharpen this pencil. I really like that it works like that because I hate sharpening my eye pencils, it always ends up messy.
The pencil is just black which I like. I really like how dark it is. It’s not one of those greyish black colors. No, this one is as black as it gets. I love it. I do think it’s a bad thing that it only comes in black. Of course it’s the most obvious color, but I would’ve liked a dark brown or a taupe color too.
The texture of the pencil is really, really nice. Some pencils are way too hard and hurt while applying them, but that’s not the case with this particular one. This one is quite creamy and smooth and goes on pretty much effortless. The color pay off is perfectly fine and is completely pain free.
I think the swatch perfectly represents what I just said. This eyeliner is intensely black and smooth to apply. You can draw both thick and thin lines with it because of the pointy tip and it stays in place pretty well. I struggle a lot with smudging mascara, but I’ve been wearing this eyeliner for a couple of hours now and it hasn’t smudged yet which is not as obvious as it might sound.
Especially because it is pretty creamy I expected it to smudge quite quickly, but in fact it doesn’t do that at all. I think that’s one of the most important features when it comes to an eyeliner in general. Nobody likes it when their eyeliner gets all over the place.
Over all I think this eyeliner is pretty amazing. It’s not extremely special or anything, but it’s a lot better than I expected. It’s super intense, it’s creamy and it stays in place. I have super watery eyes and even when I apply it on my waterline it goes nowhere for at least a couple of hours. I can’t say anything else than that I’m impressed!
