Alverde Eyeshadow Quattro

In my Germany haul I showed you guys I finally bought the Alverde eyeshadow quad. I wanted it for so long, but I never actually bought it. For those of you who aren’t aware, Alverde is an amazing all natural German drugstore brand. Their products are super low budget and the quality is absolutely amazing. I love their blushes a lot and now it was time for me to give their eyeshadows a go too. If you’re interested in finding out if I like this eyeshadow quad as much as the Alverde blushes, keep on reading!

First things first, the packaging. All Alverde products come in green packagings, which represents the fact that it’s a natural brand. The lid is clear and made of plastic. The entire thing is super light weight and does feel kind of cheapish. I do like the way it looks, but it’s not amazingly impressive. It doesn’t scream “I’m cheap”, but it doesn’t look too high class either.

There are four different color combinations available. The one I chose is called “Rose Garden”. It contains four very pretty rosy toned colors. I really love rosy eyeshadows because they are natural looking, but they aren’t super basic. They have just that extra bit of specialness to them which I really like.

The palette comes with a small sponge applicator. Even though I don’t use sponge applicators to apply my eyeshadow, I do like that there is one in there. It’s great for those who are starting to experiment with eyeshadow and don’t have a lot of brushes yet.

One thing I love about this palette is that even though it only has four colors in it, it still has everything for a complete eye look. It has a shimmery highlighter which could be used to highlight or as an eyelid shade if you like. Followed by a gorgeous champagne pink color which I love using as an eyelid shade. Then there is a matte medium brown color with a purple undertone which is the perfect transition/blending color and lastly a matte dark brown color to darken up the look. Normally small eyeshadow palettes like this don’t have everything you need in there, but this one actually does which makes it an awesome palette in my opinion.

Even though it seems like this palette is absolutely perfect, there is one little thing I dislike about it. The shadows are slightly on the powdery side. It doesn’t cause a lot of fall out, but the palette will look a little messy after using it a couple of times. I personally don’t think it’s a big deal since it doesn’t cause any fall out, but it is something I felt like I needed to mention.

I know these swatches look horrible but for some reason I made them on a really weird part of my arm which made it impossible for me to take a normal picture. I’m trying my best to work at the quality of the swatches, I’m sorry I failed this time!

The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is just impressive. I’m definitely impressed by that. The reason why I didn’t buy it earlier is because I had a feeling the shadows wouldn’t be pigmented at all. I’m really glad Alverde proved me wrong. The thing that impressed me the most is that even the matte shades are extremely pigmented. Normally budget brands kind of suck at creating pigmented matte shadows, but these are just amazing. I love it!

Over all I think the Alverde Eyeshadow Quattro is a great product. The shades are really pretty, the pigmentation is impressive and it contains al the color I need for a complete eye look. I’m really impressed by this palette and I’m extremely glad I got it. I’m actually considering buying another shade of it as well when I return to Germany!

The Alverde Eyeshadow Quattro in Rose Garden is available at DM Drogerie for €3,95.

That was it for today’s review. I hope you liked reading it and let me know if you have any experience with this brand!

  1. Alverde is een fijn budget merk. Ik koop ook altijd wat als ik in Nederland ben, en in Duitsland naar de DM ga!
