Manhatten Endless Perfection Makeup

Manhatten is one of those brands I’ve heard about, but never really tried. For some reason their products just didn’t look that appealing to me. Until now, ’cause I bought myself a Manhatten foundation. It looked pretty similar to the Rimmel True Match foundation which I’ve been wanting to try for quite a while now and it comes in a really light shade. Today I’m going to be reviewing it. If you’re interested, keep on reading!

The Manhatten Endless Perfection Foundation comes in a clear glass bottle with a black lid. The details on the bottle are all in black, except for the color name. I really like the look of the bottle. It looks pretty professional and not cheap at all, which is a big plus. The bottle contains 30 ml of foundation which is a normal amount.

On the back of the bottle Manhatten makes some promises regarding this foundation. It says the following:

“Skin perfecting makeup with full coverage for a flawless and poreless finish. The Hydra Serum helps makes the skin feel moisturised, soft and smooth. The oil free formula withstands sweat, heat, humidity and is transfer proof – for up to 24 hours!”

That sounds pretty promising. I purposely didn’t read the promises before using to use it without looking for the things it promises. I do have to say that the smooth finish is not a lie, as well as the fact that it is pretty moisturising, but not in an oily way. The only thing I think isn’t true is the fact that it’s not full coverage. The foundation does give me a quite impressive amount of coverage, but I wouldn’t just call it full coverage. I would say medium to full coverage.

I bought the foundation in the lightest shade which is called 56 Light Porcelain. This one is super, super pale. Pale enough for super pale girls like me, and even pale enough for even paler girls. I’m quite impressed by that. It’s not common for me to have to decide whether the lightest color is too pale for me, that honestly has never happened to me before. I think that’s a great thing, because most pale skinned girls struggle with finding budget proof foundations and now there is one we can all wear without having to worry about the foundation being too dark.

On the other hand, the foundation doesn’t come in very dark shades, so the darker girls aren’t as lucky as I am and I think that’s a bad thing. I just don’t get why budget brands don’t have any darker foundation colors. I honestly think think that that’s something makeup brands in general should work on.

The texture of the foundation is different from the foundation I normally use. It’s pretty liquidy and somewhat sticky. It’s not super dramatically sticky, but it’s a lot more wet than my other foundations and when it’s not completely dry yet it tends to be a little sticky. If you put a little bit of powder on top the stickiness will be gone.

The staying power of the foundation is decent too. I wouldn’t say 24 hours, but I don’t think that’s necessary. Who wear a full face of makeup for 24 hours, right? But it does survive an entire day, even if it’s pretty humid outside. It doesn’t go any where.

The only reason why I don’t love this foundation as much as my all time fave is because it’s not as matte. It doesn’t promise to be matte at all, but it’s something I do look for in a foundation. When it’s hot outside my face will look pretty oily pretty quickly. But also when I’m just hanging around watching Orange Is The New Black I do find myself looking oily sometimes.

But over all I do think this foundation is pretty amazing. It matches my skin tone, the coverage is pretty impressive and the over all look of it is good. I like it and I’m really glad I decided to give it a try. I’m not completely sure where Manhatten is available, I bought this in a German drugstore, but I’m pretty sure it’s not that hard to get your hands on. I highly recommend this foundation for anyone who’s looking for a budget proof foundation in a super light shade!

The Manhatten Endless Perfection Foundation is available at Dm Drogerie and Rossmann for €6,35.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you’re familiar with this brand!
