Today I have another P2 review for you guys. This time I’m going to be reviewing one of their lipsticks. It’s from the Pure Color range, which I’ve never tried before. I thought the color looked really pretty so I decided to buy it and give it a try. If you’re interested in finding out whether I like it or not and whether or not I think it was worth the money, keep on reading!
The Pure Color lipsticks come in a really pretty shiny silver tube. The top is arched and the lipstick is quite wide. All other text and details on the packaging are in black. I like how simple but still pretty it is. It’s not too special or too fancy, it’s just nice. The lipstick itself has a really nice shape. It seemed pretty weird to me at first. I thought it would make it even more difficult for me to apply this lipstick, but in fact it’s actually the perfect shape to quickly and easily apply the lipstick.
The color I chose is called 171 “Flamingo Road”. I really like it when brands give names to their products. Especially when they get kind of creative with it. It makes it just a tad bit more fun, and I love that. The name of this lipstick represents the color really well. Flamingo Road is a very pretty Flamingo pink color. It doesn’t have any glitter in it, but it does have a nice sheen.
The main reason why I like this lipstick as much as I like it is because of the texture. Just like all other P2 lipsticks I’ve tried, this lipstick has the nicest and creamiest texture. It’s a super soft and creamy lipstick that feels really moisturising and comfortable on the lips. This is definitely a great product for those of you who prefer lipbalms over lipstick because of the feeling.
Another reason why I love it is because the lipstick stays on for quite a while. It’s not super long lasting because it’s this creamy, but it does stay on your lips for about two hours (except if you’re eating of course). It’s not an insanely long time, but for a creamy lipstick like this one I think that’s great. And I honestly don’t mind reapplying it during the day.
The pigmentation is pretty nice as well. It’s not the most pigmented lipstick I’ve ever seen in my entire life, but the color pay off is perfect for me. I’m not that into super bright lip colors, so I like that it’s settle. The only thing I don’t like about the lipstick is that the color looks pretty pale on my lips compared to the way it looks in the tube. I’m not sure if it actually looks good on me or not, but because I love the texture so much I’m sure I’ll be wearing it a lot anyway.
Over all I think the P2 Pure Color lipstick in Flamingo Road is an amazing lipstick. I’m actually pretty blown away by the fact that such an affordable brand is capable of creating such an amazing lipstick. I really love the way it feels on my lips, the fact that it’s not drying and that it doesn’t accentuate the dry patches on my lips. Besides that I’m also quite impressed by the staying power and pigmentation. I think this lipstick is definitely worth the money!
The P2 Pure Color lipstick is available at Dm Drogerie for €1,95.
That was it for today! I hope you liked reading today’s review and let me know if you’ve ever tried a P2 lipstick!
