Powder is one of the most important products in my makeup routine. It’s not my fave, but it’s the only one I really can’t live without. I have pretty oily skin and powder is the only product that is capable in keeping the oils under control. I’ve tried many different ones and throughout that road I found out that loose powders are the only ones that work for me. Therefore I like trying different ones. Today I’m going to be reviewing the P2 Perfect Face Refine + Prime All-over Loose Powder. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The powder comes in a round container with a shiny purple lid. The bottom part is clear. When you open it up, the first thing you’ll find is a little pad, which you can use to apply the powder. I don’t use these myself, but if you’re on the go and you need to powder your face, it could come in pretty handy. It doesn’t say on the container how much product is in there, but by the look of it I guess there is about 7 grams of powder in this container.
Because my Deutsch is not that good, I’m not completely sure what they tell you about the product on the back, but on the lid are also some promises. It says that this powder fixates your makeup, that is mattifies you skin and that it’s long lasting. That sounds like something every makeup powder should do.
The powder itself is white and very fine. When you apply it to your skin, your skin will feel really even and silky. I think that that is what they mean when they said this powder fixates your makeup. It really does. When it comes to the mattifying part I’m very positive as well. It actually mattifies my skin without making me look dead. When you first apply it you’ll be completely matte, but after a few hours your skin will still be oil free but it will have that natural glow. I’m normally not that into glowy products since I have pretty oily skin, but this glow is nothing like the oily glow I normally have. It makes me look healthy and alive.
The only thing I was kind of sceptical about was the long lasting part. I’ve never used a powder that was really long lasting, so I wasn’t sure whether this one would really be long lasting, or whether it would just be a selling trick. Well, I can tell you it’s not just a marketing trick. It actually stays. I put this on my face on a very hot and humid day (30 degrees Celcius!!) and it survived all day. I even cycled to the store through that heat and I baked cookies and it’s still on my skin. I do have to say that not everything is left and that I did get a little oily, but I definitely wasn’t as oily as I would be if I had used the powder I used before this one.
Over all I’m kind of impressed by this powder. I didn’t expect it to live up to it’s promises to be honest. But once again, P2 proved me that they are amazing. I really love them for that. I love that their promises aren’t just there to make people buy their stuff. They are actually true. This powder actually stays on my face for quite a long time, it mattifies my skin and it makes my makeup look even better. I really like this powder!
The P2 Perfect Face Refine + Prime All-Over Loose Powder is available at DM Drogerie for €4,65.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and let me know which powder you use!
Mmm interesting! Been searching high and low for a good powder. I used the Innisfree No Sedum Mineral Powder. Thanks for sharing, your photos look great and I’ll keep an eye out for this in the drugstore! 🙂
