In July my mother and I went to London for one week. I absolutely love London and shopping in London is absolutely amazing, so we decided to go there. Because I was planning on shopping a lot I decided I wanted to travel light in order to have enough space in my suitcase on the way back. Today I’m going to show you what I took with me in my makeup bag. If you’re interested in finding out which products I thought were perfect for travelling light, keep on reading!
First things first, face products. For primer I decided to take the Etos Skin Smoothing primer with me. I’m not obsessed with it or anything like that, but it’s the best one I had back then. For foundation I took my beloved Maxfactor CC Cream with me and for concealer my Catrice Camouflage Cream and my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer.
As for power I decided to take the P2 Perfect Face Refine + Prime All-over Loose Powder with me. Keeping my skin matte throughout an entire day of shopping is quite a difficult thing to do, but I felt like this one would do the best when it comes to that so I decided this was the one that would come along with me.
As for brow products I took my usual stuff with me. My Hema Eyebrow Pencil, the Catrice Eyebrow Kit and the gosh Eyebrow Gel. Pretty basic and simple, but it’s what I use everyday.
For eyeshadow I decided to take the E.L.F. Eyelid Primer with me as well as my beloved P2 Forever Intense Eyeshadow Cream. I literally can’t live without my P2 cream shadow. I’m not even sure how to make a proper good looking eyeshadow look without it!
As for eyeshadow I wanted to keep it as simple and compact as possible. Even though I would love to take my gorgeous Stila or Too Faced palettes with me, I decided to go for the Maybelline The Nudes palette. Because we were going to London by plane and I didn’t want to risk breaking my expensive eyeshadow palettes, since the people there can be pretty rough with your luggage, I decided it would be much better to take a more affordable one with me.
For mascara I kept it really simple. I took my favorite mascara with me which is the Maxfactor Clump Defy mascara in waterproof and I took my Forever21 eyelash curler with me. Again, not really exciting, but these two products are just very essential to me.
Lastly for bronzer, highlighter and blush I took with me the L’Oreal Glam Bronze Sculpting Powder, the E.L.F. Baked Highlighter and the Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush. Now I’m writing this I’m realising it would’ve been much smarter if I had taken the Sleek Face Form palette with me haha!
And that was all I took with me makeup wise. It still seems like quite a lot, but it’s what I use on a daily basis. Normally I take a lot more makeup with me on vacations because I love to use different products everyday, so to me it’s quite an accomplishment.
I really hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know what you would take with you makeup wise if you were going to travel light!
That elf highlighter is one of favorites.
