2x E.L.F. Lip Products

2x ELF Lips

Before I went to London I received an email from the sweet Eline from Elineblaise.com that I won her give away! I was very excited to receive the package and try everything out, but because I went to London the day after I received it, it had to wait. Now I finally got to test the products and therefore it’s finally review time. Today I’m going to be reviewing two different E.L.F. lip products. If you’re interested in finding out more about them, keep on reading!

ELF Lipstick

The first products is a liquid lipstick. It’s called the E.L.F. Luscious Liquid Lipstick. I bought two of these myself a while ago and I really enjoyed using them, so I was glad to receive another one. The strange thing is, is that this one is called the same as one I already own, but the color is different. This one is a bit darker and has a bit more red in it than the other one.

The color I got is called Raspberry and it’s a very pretty berry red color with really pretty shimmer in it. The E.L.F. Luscious Liquid Lipsticks come in a transparent plastic packaging. In order to get the product out you have to twist the bottom part. When you do so the product will come out through little holes in the sponge applicator on top. I really like how easy it is to apply this product with the little sponge applicator.

ELF Lipgloss

The other product I got is the E.L.F. Hypershine Gloss in a very pretty light icy pink color that goes by the name Fairy. I really like the name because I think it does actually represent the color in a very creative way. The packaging this gloss comes in is pretty similar to the one the liquid lipstick comes in. The only difference is the applicator. While the liquid lipstick comes with the slanted sponge applicator, this gloss comes with a brush kind of thing. I do prefer the sponge applicator, but it’s not impossibly hard to apply the gloss neatly with this one.

At first this gloss and the liquid lipstick looked kind of similar to me. The packaging is nearly the same, the texture of the product is the same, they’re bot shiny. But when I applied both of them I saw the difference. The liquid lipstick is actually very pigmented, while this gloss is a lot more sheer. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing since I don’t expect a gloss to be as pigmented as a liquid lipstick, but that is basically the only difference between the two.

2x ELF Lips Swatch

(I’m sorry the bottom one is like completely out of focus hihi).

As you can tell from the swatch, the liquid lipstick is indeed a lot more pigmented than the gloss. But when it comes to the finish and the texture they are really similar. This liquid lipstick is not like the NYC liquid lipsticks or the Rimmel Provocalips, it’s more like a very pigmented lipgloss. I do like that about it. Even though lipgloss had been kind of out of trend and I haven’t worn it in ages, I do like wearing it especially when they look like this.

The thing that makes me love these products so much is that they last quite a long time, especially the liquid lipstick. Both of the products are kind of sticky, but that is pretty much what makes it last this long. Personally, I don’t mind the stickiness, but if you do I suggest you skip these two products.

ELF Lip Prodcuts

Overall I have to say that these E.L.F. lip products are surprisingly good. They last quite a while, the liquid lipstick is really pigmented and the colors look really pretty. And the best thing is that they are super affordable! I really enjoy wearing these two products and I’m pretty sure I’ll put some of these in my basket the next time I’m shopping at the E.L.F. webshop!

The E.L.F. Luscious Liquid Lipstick and the Hypershine Gloss are available at the Eyeslipsface webshop for €1,00.

That was it for today! I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you have tried one of these and if you like them or not!
