Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

One of Makeup Revolution’s most popular products has to be their highlighters. Highlighters are super hot at the moment and I absolutely love that. When I saw this beauty at Superdrug I had no doubt and I bought it. Today I’m going to review this gorgeous Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter. The highlighter comes in a fairly basic packaging. The bottom part is black and the lid is clear. The text on the lid is written in a very basic golden font. Even though it’s basic like that I do not hate it. I think the golden text makes it look a bit more classy, but it’s not the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen. There were 3 different colors available, a lilac one, a shimmery white one and the one I bought, which is a very pretty warm peachy highlight shade.

The thing I love most about these highlighters is that they look absolutely gorgeous. Most baked highlighters are just dome shaped and have that earth pattern on it but that’s it. This one however has a very nice kind of swirly pattern which looks absolutely gorgeous to me.

The thing I love about this highlight color is particular is that I feel like it would suit every skin tone. It’s a very versatile color and it’s easy to work with. The shimmers in it aren’t super chunky at all, they’re very fine which I really like. That to me really makes the difference between a cheap ass highlighter and a normal highlighter.

When it comes to the texture of the product I have to say I’m impressed. Because it was this affordable I didn’t have high expectations, but it actually surprised me how nice this product felt. I expected it to be kind of powdery and thick, but instead this highlighter will add a very natural looking glow to your skin. I absolutely love the way that looks!

The pigmentation to me is perfect. It’s not a very thick heavy highlighter. It’s not like some other cheaper highlighters that are very white and extremely pigmented and therefore make you look like you fell in a pool of fairy dust instead of making you look like a healthy glowy person. I also like that it doesn’t make me look oilier than I already am.

Over all I think the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter is a genuinely good product. I love that it doesn’t look cheap and that the glitters aren’t extremely chunky. I really enjoy wearing this highlighter and I’m pretty sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it!
