No7 Stay Perfect Shade & Define Eyeshadow Stick

A while ago I was watching some Youtube videos from English beauty guru’s and I saw one of them use a very pretty eyeshadow stick. It was one by the brand No7. I immediately put it on my wishlist and when I saw it in Boots during my trip to London I bought it. I think most of you are aware of the fact that I love using cream eyeshadows as a base underneath my eyeshadow looks, so this product seemed perfect to me. Today it’s time for me to review it. The No7 Stay Perfect Shade & Define pencil obviously comes shaped like a pencil. The biggest part of the pencil is black with shimmer and the lid and bottom part are in the same color as the pencil. In my case that is a bit of a taupy brown color. I really like the look of the packaging. It looks professional and clean. Nothing too funky, but not boring either.

I bought the pencil in the color Cool Mink. To me this was the prettiest color available. Cool Mink is a very pretty shimmery taupe color that is very multifunctional. You can use this pencil as a base underneath your eyeshadow, you can use it in combination with other pencils like this but this particular color would also look really pretty on its own. I think this is one of those perfect products for those days you don’t feel like creating an entire eye look. You can just sweep it all over your eyelid, blend it a bit into the crease and done.

In general I like creamy eyeshadows, either in pencil shape or just as a cream in a jar, the only reason why I sometimes don’t like them is because some creamy eye products tend to crease super, super quickly. I was a teeny tiny bit scared this one would too, but luckily the “Stay Perfect” part isn’t a lie. This product stays on your eyes like no other. I swatched this on my hand at noon and late at night when I was about to take a shower it was still there. It hadn’t lost any of its intensity whatsoever. Even underneath the shower it didn’t disappear, I really had to wash it off. I like that a lot about this pencil!

The only thing that worried me when I found out this pencil stays like that is that it might be impossible to blend. But that was another useless worry. When you apply it and immediately blend it you can easily blend it like you could with any other creamy eyeshadow product. The only thing you shouldn’t do is wait 5 minutes, ’cause then it could become a bit more challenging.

The pigmentation is another plus. This product has a nice amount of pigmentation. You can make it as intense as you want. The thing I love most about this pencil is its texture. It’s not too creamy in a way it would crease or you’d blend it away, but it’s not painful to apply. It doesn’t hurt my eyes at all.

Over all I think the No7 Stay Perfect Shade & Define eyeshadow stick is an absolute win. This product is super multifunctional and the quality is just impressive. I really like using it and I’m pretty sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves creamy eyeshadows or is looking for a product that you can use on its own.
