August was a month in which I discovered lots and lots of new products. I went to London and bought lots of stuff, so I had enough to test this month. I fell in love with lots of products, too many to show you guys. So today I’m just going to show you the absolute favorites. The products that made me wow. If you’ve read a review of mine in which I mentioned “this is definitely going to be a favorite” or something like that, it probably still is, but because I had way too many favorites I just had to eliminate some products. If you’re interested in finding out which products did make it, keep on reading!
Let’s start off with brushes. In London I bought the Real Techniques Collectors Edition Brush Set. This set consists out of the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush, the Setting Brush and a Fan Brush. The thing that makes these brushes so special is that the handle is shiny instead of matte. I really love the look of it and I especially love the way the Sculpting brush and the Setting brush work. I can’t live without them any more!
When I went to Den Bosch I came across a very cute store called “Webshops Only”. This is a concept store which sells products from lots of different webshops. One of the webshops is Boozyshop, one of my faves. Boozyshop carries Real Techniques as well and I ended up buying the Real Techniques Blush Brush. All I can say is that it’s just absolutely amazing.
Next up is a nail polish. It’s one by Kiko in the color 387. I saw this on various blogs before I bought it and I really loved the color. I decided to buy it myself and I fell in love with it even more. This is my favorite nail polish color in the entire world. I absolutely love it!
Next up are three eyeshadow palettes. The first one is by Pixi. It’s their Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Copper Peach. I adore Pixi and especially their eyeshadows. I think that the colors in this palette are just perfect for me and that they are perfect for everyday use. This palette made me love Pixi even more. I highly recommend this palette!
Another palette I have fallen in love with is the MUA Spring Break palette. At first I wasn’t sure whether or not I was going to like it, and now it’s my favorite one out of the 5 MUA palettes I bought! I just absolutely love that there are so many different colors in this palette and I love the looks I can create using these. Besides that I’m also very impressed by the quality of the eyeshadows.
The last palette is by Sleek. It’s their Au Natural palette. I wanted this for ages already and I’m so glad I finally got my hands on it. I always loved the overall look of this palette, but I wasn’t sure if I would actually like it because there is only one shade in there I would use as an eyelid shade and that’s not a lot. But, in the end, I think this is one of my all time favorite palettes! It’s amazing.
Onto lip products. The first one is the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick in Pou Pou Pidou. It’s a very pretty berry pink color. I already own one lipstick from this range and I love that one, so it wasn’t a surprise that I was going to like this one too. I just think this color is absolutely gorgeous and that the texture is amazing!
Another Bourjois lip product I fell in love with in August is the Bourjois Effect 3D Lipgloss in a very pretty rosy pink color. I think this is the perfect everyday pink color and I love the way this product feels on my lips. I’m not that much of a lipgloss kind of girl, but I actually really like wearing this one!
The last lip products for this month is my first ever MAC lipstick in the color Coral Bliss. I actually wanted to buy Sunny Seoul, but the MAC counter at the airport didn’t carry that. The makeup artist that was helping me showed me some other similar colors and I ended up buying this one. I’m really glad I did because I absolutely love it. Besides the awfully gorgeous color, I’m just really impressed by the quality of MAC lipsticks!
Next up are two L’Oreal products from the Infallible 24H Matte range. I wanted to buy the foundation from that range for a while already, but since the Dutch drugstores don’t carry the lightest shade I had to wait. When I went to London I finally got the chance to buy it and I did (I actually bought two tubes hihi). Besides the foundation I also bought the primer. And to be honest, I think they are amazing! I love using them separately and I love using them together. They are just amazing!
After using the same brow product for years I finally found something new. The Maybelline Brow Satin in Medium Brown. I can’t stress enough how amazing this product is. I love that you get a pencil and a powder and I love that the powder comes with a sponge applicator. I really love the way my brows look when I use this. I’m pretty sure I won’t ever buy anything else.
A product I fell in love with in August which I didn’t buy in London is the L’Oreal Glam Bronze Sculpting Powder. I bought it because it was on sale for 50% and it looked pretty good to me and I’m so glad I did that. Ever since I bought it I haven’t used anything else. I think it’s absolutely amazing.
Blush-wise I have been loving the Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush in Live Pink. I think the color is absolutely gorgeous, it’s the perfect pink color and the quality is amazing! I didn’t expect to love it this much, but I really do!
Lastly for makeup is the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter. I heard so many good things about this that I just had to buy it. They do sell it in the Netherlands, but because it’s way cheaper in the UK I decided to wait. I’m really glad I finally have it because it’s all I have been using the past month. I prefer this one over my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Blonde!
Next are two shower gels that aren’t new. These are actually rediscoveries. I absolutely love Treacle Moon and I have quite a big collection of Treacle Moon shower gels. But because I have been testing out a few other shower gels I ended up forgetting about them a little. When I returned from London I really felt like using a Treacle Moon shower gel and to be honest with you guys, I haven’t used anything else since.
Normally I’m not that into using the same shower gel for such a long time because I love switching up between the ones I have, but I just can’t stop using these. Even though I love all my Treacle Moons a lot, the Iced Strawberry Dream and the The Raspberry Kiss scent are definitely my faves!
My last favorites are three Zoella products. The first time I went to Superdrug during my trip to London I smelled the Let’s Spritz perfume and I really liked it. I decided to buy it and I wore it every single day during the trip and I still can’t stop using it. I really love how fresh and sweet this scent it. The other Zoella perfume is actually on its way to my home right now!
Because I loved the perfume so much I decided to buy one of the body lotions as well. I ended up buying the Creamy Madly Dreamy body lotion because I already had the perfume in the other scent. I used it and I was so impressed. It was absolutely amazing. It was so amazing that the last day I decided to go back to Superdrug and buy the other scent as well!
And that’s it! Those were all of my absolute favorite favorites of August. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s article and let me know which products you’ve been loving!

Wat een mooie favoriete. Vooral RT kwasten vind ik ook erg fijn, Ik vind zelf de L’Oreal foundation iets te matt waardoor je nog beter lijntjes in het gezicht ziet,
