L’Oreal Color Riche Made For Me Naturals Lipstick

L'Oreal Lipstick Packaging

I don’t know why or how, but a year ago I absolutely hated wearing lip products. Nowadays I’m a huge lipstick junkie. It’s funny to see things change like that in such a short amount of time, isn’t it? Lately I’ve been buying quite a few lipsticks, one of which is a gorgeous not too basic but still wearable one by L’Oreal. Today I felt like it was time for me to review it. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this lipstick will become a favorite for mine, keep on reading!

L'Oreal Lipstick

Apart from the Rouge Caresse range by L’Oreal I’ve never really tried any of their lipsticks. For some reason I always expected them to be very dry. The main reason why I ended up giving one of them a try anyway is because there was a 3 for 2 sale going on and there was nothing else I wanted more.

The packaging of this lipstick, and all other lipsticks from this range is pretty gorgeous in my opinion. They are all gold and have this kind of semi-matte finish which we’ve been seeing quite a lot lately. I really like the look of that. On the front of the lid you’ll find a little label on which it says “natural”. I really like the look of that. It makes the packaging look a little less boring, but it’s not too overwhelming.

The color I chose is called “256 Blush Fever”. Blush Fever is a gorgeous brownish red color. It looks pretty extreme in the packaging, but since this lipstick is from the Naturals range and since it’s more like a glossy lipstick, it still looks pretty natural on the lips. I really love lipsticks like that. I think this color would be perfect for the fall and winter time!

L'Oreal Nude Lipstick Color

The lipstick itself doesn’t really have any shimmer to it, but it does have this really pretty shiny finish. I feel like because it has this shiny finish it’s a lot more wearable than it would be if it was a matte lipstick. Besides that I also prefer the feeling of shiny and/or glossy lipsticks on my lips over matte lipsticks, since matte lipsticks tend to be pretty dry and that’s just a feeling I really dislike.

The lasting power of this lipstick is pretty good. It stays in place for quite a few hours and it fades in a very nice and even way. After an hour or two it will lose some of its intensity, but the color of your lips is still different than it naturally is. I think that’s a pretty important and nice feature. I mean who liked those lipsticks that crumble off? At least I don’t!

L'Oreal Lipstick Lip Swatch

The pigmentation is absolutely fine. I think those of you who frequently read my blog know I usually wear sheer lipsticks, but this isn’t completely like that. It’s not super sheer, it does have great pigmentation to be honest, but it’s just not too extreme. It does make my lips look a lot healthier and they add a nice reddish color with a nice shine to it, but it’s definitely not too extreme for school or work.

The only thing that stands out to me now I’m looking at the swatch is that the color has a bit more of a pink undertone on my lips that it does when you see it in the tube. I don’t mind that because I’m in love with this color, but it is something you should know before purchasing this product!

Overall I think the L’Oreal Color Riche lipstick is absolutely amazing. I’m really happy I decided to get it and I’ll definitely keep an eye out for some other pretty shades. Because I’ve been trying out lots of lipsticks lately I haven’t got the chance to wear this lipstick an awful lot, but when I’m done testing, I’m pretty sure I’ll get a lot of wear out of this lipstick!

The L’Oreal Color Riche Made For Me Naturals Lipstick is available at drugstores for £6,99/€14,99.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you have tried any of the L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks!
