OPI Nail Polish Kiss Me I’m Brazilian

In yesterday’s haul I showed you guys I got myself a gorgeous new OPI nail polish. I have to say that it’s one of the most exciting purchases I’ve done in a while. For years I have been looking for the perfect pink nail polish, not too dark, not too light, but the perfect combination of both and that is basically why I am so excited about this polish, it’s exactly what I wanted. Today I’m going to be reviewing it for you guys and I’ll tell you if it’s as amazing as I expected it to be and if the color is as perfect on the nails as I expected. The nail polish comes in the same package as all other OPI nail polishes do, and I love that. I don’t know why but I just really like the shape of the bottle and I absolutely love the size. You pay a little more for an OPI nail polish, but you do get a lot of product! The brush is also really nice and easy to work with. I have to say that some other nail polishes from more affordable brands have even better brushes, but the OPI ones aren’t bad at all.

As you can tell from the picture and the title, this polish is called “Kiss Me I’m Brazilian”. I really like the names OPI gives to their polishes. Even though it doesn’t make too much sense, I do really like it. Kiss Me I’m Brazilian is, to me, the perfect pink nail polish. It has the right amount of pink in it and the darkness of the color is just like I wanted it to be.

One thing I do dislike about OPI nail polishes is the staying power. I don’t know if it’s just me, but OPI nail polishes don’t stay on my nails perfectly as long as lots of cheaper nail polishes do. The polish does stay for about 3 days, but I do experience quite some tip wear before those days have passed, which does really bother me. I’m also not impressed with the coverage of OPI polishes in general. The polishes are acceptable after two coats of polish, but if you want them to be as full coverage as other polishes you definitely need three coats if not more.

Besides that I’m also not a huge fan of the finishes of the OPI nail polishes. Because the consistency is pretty fluid, you won’t get that gel-like effect. Not even close. I know that OPI doesn’t claim to have that effect, but lots of polishes don’t and still have prettier finishes in my opinion.

On the positive note, I do think OPI polishes are amazing when it comes to how quick they dry. They dry in literally no time which I believe is caused by the fluidness of the polish itself. I really like that about it and that is definitely one of the reasons why I like buying OPI polishes. I mean, who doesn’t like quick dry nail polishes?

Colorwise I’m in love. The polish looks as perfect on the nails as I hoped and I love that about it. The color is is just absolutely perfect, I can’t describe it in any other way. I just really like the way it looks.

Even though I was quite negative towards the quality of OPI nail polishes in this review, I still think OPI Kiss Me I’m Brazilian is an amazing polish. It has some flaws quality wise, but I’m just in love with the color, which is the main reason why I buy OPI polishes in general. So if you’re looking for a pretty pink, I highly recommend it, but if you’re looking for a super long lasting polish with a gel-like finish, I’d skip this one!
