I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher

I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Boxes

Quite a while ago Too Faced launched a blush in the shape of a heart. Everyone loved it, which is not weird since the blush looks absolutely adorable. Because the Too Faced ones were so popular, lots of other brands created their own version of it. Even though the hype is already pretty much gone, I still really wanted to try the I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts. I never really got the chance to give them a try when they were still super popular, but better late than never. Today I’m going to be reviewing two of them. If you’re interested in finding out more about them, keep on reading!

I Heart Makeup Blush Hearts Packaging

The I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts come in the most adorable packaging, which is the main reason why I, and I think most people who own them, bought them. Sometimes I feel like heart shaped makeup products tend to look a little cheap or childish, but these blushes don’t look like that at all. I really like the way they look. The pink colour, the shiny heart shape inside the heart and I love the font they used to write down the name of the product.

The packaging is made out of cardboard and is pretty big. It does take in quite some space in my makeup collection. Because they are this adorable, I don’t really mind that, but if you store your makeup in a really small place, it could be a problem.

I Heart Makeup Blush Heart; Peachy Keen Heart

The first colour I bought is called Peachy Queen. There wasn’t a tester available at the store and because this one was the only one left I decided to buy it. At that time I didn’t know what it would look like. When I opened it for the first time I was kind of disappointed. Because of the name Peachy Queen I expected a peachy colour, but instead of a peachy blush,  the biggest part of this blush is bronze. On the picture it looks like it’s not that bad, but in real life they are even more bronze than they appear to be on the picture.

Because the colour ended up being really bronze, which is not a colour I usually go for when it comes to blush, I have to admit I haven’t used it a lot. It might look pretty good as a bronzer, but since I never really use shimmery bronzers, I still haven’t used it as one. Even though it could be a really pretty product, it’s just not it for me.

I Heart Makeup Blush Heart; Candy Queen Of Hearts

The second colour I got is called Candy Queen Of Hearts. This one looks pretty similar to the Too Faced version. I really like the colours. I love that because of the fact that it’s divided into three different parts you can kind of decide which colour you want to get out of it. You can go for just one of the colours, you can mix two or you can mix them all together. It’s whatever you prefer.

But to be real, even though I really love the look of this product and all, I haven’t used it a lot either. Not because of the colour, but because it’s super, super settle. I feel like it doesn’t do anything for me. It only adds a tiny bit of colour, which is gone within two hours and that’s it..

I Heart Makeup Blush Hearts Swatches

As you can tell the pigmentation of Peachy Queen is pretty amazing, but Candy Queen Of Hearts is just sad. I don’t get how everyone was so excited and positive about these blush hearts, while the pigmentation is actually just sad. Nope, I’m not impressed by these products at all. I hoped that I would love them and that these hearts would be great dupes for the Too Faced blush, but this is not even close.

I’m really sorry for the negativity in this review, but I’m not impressed by these blush hearts at all. I’m actually pretty disappointed. Because of all the positive reviews I read online I expected these blush hearts to be absolutely amazing, but they were nothing like that. Nope, I definitely don’t recommend them!

The I Heart Makeup Blush Hearts are available at Superdrug and online for €6,99/£4,99.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know whether you have tried these blush hearts or not and how you liked them!

  1. Wat jammer dat ze zo’n verschillende pigmentatie hebben.. Ik vind zulke hartblushes er altijd geweldig uitzien! 🙂 Peachy Keen Heart is echt prachtig!

  2. I own Candy Queen of Hearts and it’s so different when it’s on my cheeks than when I swatch them- it gives me a really pretty flush! Great review, I didn’t know the pigmentation was so different between the Blushing Hearts! I love how you photograph your picures, by the way.
