BE Creative Makeup Intense Lipstick in Silk

BE Lipstick Silk Box

Finding the perfect nude lipstick is not as easy as it might seem. A colour that looks good on one person, might look horrible on the other. It’s just a matter of trying things out and finding out what suits your skin tone. In order to find my perfect nude colour I decided to try something a little different from what I’d normally go for. I ended up buying a lipstick called Silk by the brand BE Creative Makeup. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this colour ended up being a perfect nude, keep on reading!

The lipstick comes in a very professional looking packaging. It even comes inside a box. Even though that shouldn’t make me excited, it really does. For some reason the fact that products come in boxes makes me really excited. I don’t know why and how, but it’s true. The lipstick itself is square shaped and is made out of that rubbery plastic again. It’s very clean and simple. The only thing it says on the lipstick itself is the name of the brand and on the bottom the name, and that’s it. I absolutely love it.

I chose the colour Silk because I read online that Silk is supposed to be a perfect nude colour. Normally I try to stay away from colours like this because they often make me look dead or like I put concealer all over my lips and since that’s not the look I’m going for I decided I should just not use colours like that.

Back in the day a perfect nude lipstick, to me, was a light pink colour. After trying millions of light pink colours I finally realised that that wasn’t the perfect nude colour for my skin tone and I finally decided to try something else. That something else ended up being Silk. Silk is a very pretty kind of salmon colour but darker. It has a hint of peach and a bit of pink in it, which I feel like is what makes the difference between this colour and a ‘do you have concealer on your lips’ colour.

But even though the colour looks like it might be a winner in the tube, it might still turn out to be a massive fail. In order to find out whether it would look good on me I had to swatch it on my lips of course. I was scared but hopeful when I was about to swatch it, and in the end I can tell you I was pleasantly surprised. Even though something in me told me this was going to be a fail, this lipstick ended up being a winner.

Pigmentation wise I’m a huge fan of this lipstick. It’s super pigmented and it’s very creamy. I really like the finish too. I personally prefer lipsticks with a shiny finish because I feel like that looks a little more natural and I feel like shiny lipsticks feel nicer on the lips and aren’t as drying as matte lipsticks tend to be.

The lasting power isn’t too bad either. It’s not the most long lasting lipstick I have ever tried, but considering the fact that it’s a creamy lipstick I didn’t really expect that anyway. Compared to other creamy lipsticks it’s definitely not bad. I never really time how long a lipsticks stays in place, but when I apply it in the morning it’s still there when I’m about to eat my lunch.

Over all I’m pretty happy I got this lipstick. It’s definitely not a colour I would have bought if it wasn’t for the fact that I read on the internet that this was a great nude colour, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t amazing. I think this is one of the best nude lip colours I have in my collection and I really enjoy wearing it. Besides the colour, I also love the texture and the finish. Quality wise it’s one of the best lipsticks yet!

The BE Creative Makeup Intense Lipstick is available at Ici Paris XL For €12,99.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which nude lipstick is your all time favourite!
