It has been quite a while since I last bought something from a Catrice limited edition. Their limited editions just don’t look that appealing to me. But, their current limited edition called FALLosophy drastically changed that. I loved every single product from that collection. Even though I loved them all I decided to just go for the blush, which is the product I’m going to be reviewing today. If you’re interested in finding out whether it was worth it or not, keep on reading!
The FALLosophy Gradation Powder Blush comes in a very pretty packaging. The back is black and the front is clear and has a very pretty silver design on it. It really represents that autumn vibe they were going for. But, besides that design, there is something else that makes this blush extra special, the gradient effect. Gradient blushes are, in general, absolutely gorgeous and I love that the lid is clear so you can see it through the packaging.
This Gradation Powder Blush comes in just one shade, Fading Into Dawn, which is the one I have. It’s a very pretty purply pink colour that is literally perfect for autumn. I really like colours like this all year round, but especially during autumn and winter.
When I looked at it for the first time I wasn’t quite sure whether or not is was a matte blush. I really had to take a closer look to find out. And it turns out, this blush does have a bit of shimmer to it, silver shimmer, but it’s very, very minimal. Once applied you can’t really tell that there is some sort of shimmer in there any more, and I really like that about it. even though I used to be all about the shimmery blushes a while ago, I now prefer matte ones.
The thing I love about the gradient effect is that it allows you to choose how dark or light you want your blush to be without needing multiple products. You can just go for the lightest part of the blush, the darkest part or you can mix the two and create your own pink shade.
Lightest colour – darkest colour – combination
The pigmentation of the blush is absolutely amazing. I have to say I wouldn’t have minded if it was a little less pigmented. When I first applied it I didn’t realise that it was so pigmented and I went a little overboard, so it’s definitely a blush you have to be careful with. But, because of that little incident, I found out that this blush is really nice and blendable, so if it happens to you, don’t worry, just blend it a bit using a clean blush and you’re good to go!
The texture of the blush really surprised me. It’s super silky and soft. It definitely has a luxurious feel to it, which is something I didn’t expect from a budget brand. I think Catrice is really upping their game here when it comes to their blushes. I like it!
I think it’s clear that I’m really liking this blush. Because I’m not a huge Catrice fan I didn’t really expect too much from it, but I have to say I’m impressed. I really have to start giving Catrice another chance, I honestly feel like the quality of their products improved. The pigmentation is amazing, I like the gradient effect and the texture is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this blush! It’s available from October till November, so if you’re considering buying it, just go for it now you still can.
The Catrice FALLosophy Gradation Powder Blush is available at the drugstore from October till November for €3,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you have already gotten your hands on some of the products from the FALLosophy collection!
