I feel like it has been quite a while since the last time I did a monthly favourites post! The past months have just been so busy and chaotic that I barely even got time to think about beauty! Luckily I did find the time to do so this month and I can tell you it was absolutely amazing. I have discovered so many amazing product this past month which I’m so excited about! If you want to find out which products I’m talking about, keep on reading!
Let’s start with my three favourite nail polishes of the month. They’re all by Essie. The first one is a really pretty peachy, salmony colour called Peach Side Babe. I really love it. Even though it’s more of a spring colour, I still really enjoy wearing it even when the weather is the way it is now. The colour in the middle is called Sunset Sneaks, which is a very pretty coral red colour. Coral is one of my favourite colours, so it’s not a surprise that I fell in love with this polish.
The last polish is called Flowerista. Flowerista is a gorgeous deep purple shade. Even though I absolutely love the colour purple, especially purples like this I didn’t have anything in my collection like it yet. I’m so glad I do now ’cause this baby is just stunning!
But that wasn’t it yet for nails. I also have two nail care products I really enjoyed using the past couple of months. The first one is Seche Vite Rebuild. I once ordered it without knowing what it was because it was on sale and I heard that Seche Vite was a good brand and I ended up falling in love with this product. I have pretty weak and ugly nails and this product works wonders for me on that part. It strengthens them, it fills up the ridges and it makes them look a lot better in no time. I highly recommend this product!
The last nail favourite is the Maybelline Gel Effect topcoat. I love gel effect nail polishes, so this topcoat seemed like a perfect fit for me. It’s super quick drying and it adds a gorgeous gel effect to my nails, and besides that it also extends the lasting power. I just love it!
The next two favourites might not surprise you if you have read the reviews I’ve written about them. This summer I decided I wanted to try a new moisturiser. Not from a drugstore brand, but from a more professional brand. I ended up buying this Origins GinZing moisturiser. Even though it’s not even specifically made for my skin type, it does the job extremely well. I’m so in love with this moisturiser! It’s amazing.
Next up is the Nivea Men Aftershave Balm. I have been using this for a couple of months now and I still love it a little more every single day. I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s the best makeup primer I have ever, ever tried. I’m not exaggerating. I really think that every single one of you should try this. It’s way more affordable than the usual primers, it doesn’t have silicones in it or other bad ingredients, and it makes your makeup lets ALL DAY no matter what. I’m not kidding if I tell you it makes your makeup stay literally all day. Try it!
This next favourite is actually a rediscovery. I’m talking about the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation. I used this about 4 years ago literally every single day and then I stopped using it. A while ago I decided to give it another try and I just can’t stop loving it. Even though it’s not perfect for my skin type, it makes me oilier than I have to be, I just wear it. I have never used a foundation that has such a pretty finish as this one has. It’s amazing.
Next up is a Sleek blush in the shade Flushed. I feel like colours like this tend to shock people. It looks pretty intimidating in the packaging, especially considering the fact that my skin is basically as white as paper, but I just absolutely love colours like this. It’s basically all I use. I have used this blush non stop for a month in a row, which is a very unlikely think for me to do, but it’s true. It’s just the perfect blush for me. I love it!
Onto eyeshadows! The first eyeshadow favourite of this month is the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in the shade Hourglass Beige. I wanted this for years and now that I finally got my hands on it I can’t live without it. This shade made me love mono eyeshadows again. It’s the most gorgeous shade in my entire collection (after Stila Kitten of course) and I use it a lot. This eyeshadow is just perfect for everyday, especially those days you’re really tired and you want to look al little more awake.
Next up is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade Crème De Rose. It’s from the Creamy Mattes collection. I used to prefer shimmery cream shadows underneath my eyeshadow creations, but this product changed everything. It creates the perfect base for underneath my eyeshadows, it makes them stay in place longer and it intensifies the colours and you can use it with every single look you will ever create, whether you want it to be shimmery or matte.
If you have read yesterdays review this favourite is definitely no surprise to you. It’s the Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in Spirit. If you want to read about it in a lot more detail, I’d recommend checking out yesterday’s review, but I can tell you that this palette is the best palette ever created. It contains every single colour you need for both your everyday eyeshadow look, your night time look, your festive look and so on. I love, love, love, love this!
Nope, we’re not done yet. It’s lip time! Because it’s fall now I really enjoy wearing more purple lipsticks. Both nudes with a hint of purple as well as berry colours. My fist two favourites are the two lipsticks (or sheer lipbalms) from the Essence Happy Girls Are Pretty LE. These smell amazing and the colours are just absolutely gorgeous.
The next favourite is from the Essence Sheer & Shine range in the colour Pretty You. This is a very pretty berry shade with a gorgeous finish. Because it’s sheer it’s not super thick or extreme, but it’s definitely a little bit more daring than the colours I would usually wear.
The last lip favourite is the MAC lipstick in Lovelorn. Out of all of my lipsticks this is what I’ve worn the most. It just goes with everything and it’s appropriate for every occasion. I just think it’s the best lip colour that has ever been created, it’s gorgeous!
On to the very last favourite, the Hema Today I Feel Dreamy Body Lotion. I think most of you guys know that I’m obsessed with Hema and basically every single one of their products, but this tops it all. I found out about it when I went shopping on a Friday evening with my mom, something that I shouldn’t do too often because it mostly results in me buying lot’s of things I didn’t plan on getting, and I have used it almost every single day since. I don’t know how to describe it, but this scent is heavenly. It’s literally heaven. If you get the chance, please go ahead and smell it. It’s the best scent ever created. I’m not kidding!
That was it for today! I hope you enjoyed reading about all my favourites and be sure to let me know which products you have been loving throughout October!
Wow, that is a lot of favorites 🙂 The Essence lipsticks look cool and so do Essie nail polishes 🙂
