3x Essie Nail Polish

Three Essie Nail Polishes

Essie is a very popular, well loved, nail polish brand. I have tried a few of their polishes before and loved them. A while ago I found myself in a drugstore where came across a few Essie nail polishes that were on sale for half its price. I couldn’t resist it and bought three. Today I’m going to be reviewing all three of them. If you’re interested in finding out if they’re as amazing as the other Essie polishes I’ve tried or not, keep on reading!

Essie Peach Side Baby Nail Polish

Let’s start off with the very first colour. This is a very pretty pale peachy colour, called Peach Side Babe. I really like that name! Peach Side Babe is actually a pretty summery nail polish, but even though it is, I still really enjoy wearing it during autumn and winter. It adds that extra bit of brightness to my day and I love that.

Peach Side Babe is a creamy nail polish and therefore doesn’t contain any shimmer. Even though, about a year ago, I used to love me some glitter, I nowadays tend to go for more neutral and creamy colours. I don’t know why this changed all of a sudden, but I’m going to have to accept it any way.

As you can tell, Peach Side Babe is a very opaque polish. Within two coats is covered up my nails completely. That seems average, but lately I have been struggling to find polishes that actually cover up my nails completely within two coats. Besides the coverage I’m also really loving the finish of this polish. It looks really nice and glossy and it has a bit of a gel nail polish look to it which I really love.

Something I love about the Essie nail polishes is how quick they dry. Compared to other polishes, especially cheaper ones, it’s quite impressive. I wish every polish would be like that.

Essie Sunset Sneaks Nail Polish

Onto the second colour, Sunset Sneaks. Sunset Sneaks is a very pretty summery watermelon red colour. It’s fun, it’s creamy, it’s soft and it’s my favourite type of red. I really like those creamy, soft red colours. Again, this is more of a summer kinda colour, but it’s definitely not illegal to wear it during autumn and winter in my opinion.

I find that these Essie nail polish are really easy to apply. Even though I’m not a hero at applying nail polishes and I do mess up every now and then, I feel like these Essie nail polishes are pretty good at preventing that, or at least make it less of a struggle.

Just like Peach Side Babe, Sunset Sneak is a very opaque polish too. I think it’s actually even more opaque than Peach Side Babe is. I really love the look of this polish. It might be my favourite out of the three. I feel like it’s a colour that goes with every look and outfit you can possibly wear, so it’s a very safe colour to go for if you’re not sure yet what colours you might be wearing the next day.

Another big plus, when it comes to Essie, is the staying power of the polishes. The Essie polishes stay on my nails for at least 3 to 4 days straight without chipping. Because I’m not allowed to wear nail polish at work and I work multiple days a week, I wasn’t able to test it for longer than 4 days, but 4 days ain’t bad at all!

Essie Flowerista Nail Polish

The last Essie polish I’m going to review today is called Flowerista. Flowerista is a really pretty purple colour. I feel like this is a little more autumn appropriate compared to Peach Side Baby and Sunset Sneaks. Even though purple is one of my favourite colours ever, I didn’t have a colour like this in my collection yet. I’m glad I do now, because it’s absolutely stunning!

And this is what it looks like on the nails. I’m sorry for the fact that this picture doesn’t have the same lighting as the others do, but it was late at night and since I’m really busy it was then or never. I hope it doesn’t bother you too much! But back to the polish. Just like with the two others, it’s very opaque, easy to apply and it did last quite a while. Because this polish is a little darker than the other two, it was more obvious when the tips began to wear off, but in general, it wasn’t bad at all.

Over all I have to say I’m pretty glad I got these three polishes. Essie isn’t the cheapest brand on earth, but I am certain that the Essie polishes are worth the money. Compared to cheaper polishes they are such a lot better and I love the colours they offer. If you haven’t tried an Essie polish yet, I highly recommend doing so!

The Essie Nail Polishes are available at the drugstore for €9,99.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which colour is your favourite!

  1. Flowerista is prachtig! Essie lakjes zijn idd best duur maar heb onlangs nog een minisetje gezien bij de Etos! Ik koop meestal dat of wacht tot er een aanbieding is bij de Big Bazar, scheelt een hoop. πŸ™‚
