Honestly, lip liners have never really been my thing. I feel like it’s a kind of unnecessary step and since I’m not a huge fan of matte lips using them on their own isn’t really it for me either. But, after reading lots of good things about this particular lip liner I just had to try it. If everybody loves it, it has to be good, right? After testing it for a while I decided it was finally time to review it. If you’re interested in reading more about it, keep on reading!
The Rimmel London Exaggerate Lip Liner comes in a plastic packaging. It’s not like a real pencil you use to write with, but more like a waxy piece of colour in a plastic packaging. I do like that for various reason, reason number one being: you don’t have to sharpen it. Besides that I feel like actual pencil like lip pencils are pretty drying, while waxy lip pencils aren’t always like that.
Another thing I like about this packaging is that it’s in the same colour as the actual product. It’s easy to find which colour you’re looking for and because the colour of the product is really pretty, I like the colour of the packaging too.
Onto the actual product. First things first: the colour. East End Snob is a very pretty nude, rosy pink colour. It’s definitely a colour I would buy and wear a lot if it would’ve been a lipstick. Because it’s so neutral I feel like it goes very well with lots of different colours of lipstick. I think that’s a very important feature for a lip liner to have, since this way you will get a lot more use out of it than you would if you could only wear it in combination with one particular lipstick.
The pencil itself is kind of waxy and pretty easy to work with. It’s easy to create sharp lines with it and the colour transfers onto your lips pretty easily. However, there is one big downside to this whole thing. You have to be super, super careful and gentle while applying this product because if you don’t the pencil will break, which is what happened to me.
This is what it looks like on the lips. Pigmentation wise it’s pretty amazing, however, I don’t like the texture. I’m aware of the fact that I’m talking about a lip pencil here and that pencils tend to be pretty dry, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. This pencil was pretty dry too, like most pencils are and I really hated the feeling of it on my lips. I feel like if you use a creamy lipstick on top that it would be a lot better, but wearing it on its own is definitely not something I’m going to be doing.
When it comes to the staying power I am definitely not disappointed. Because it’s so dry it really stays in place. You can drink, eat, talk, etc. and you don’t have to worry about it transferring onto anything or it moving everywhere. Nope, this stuff will stay exactly where you put it.
Over all I’m not disappointed. I did however find out that lip liners just aren’t my cup of tea, but that definitely doesn’t mean this is a bad product. Aside from the fact that the pencil broke the very first time I used it, I think this lip liners is pretty amazing. The colour comes of really easily, you can easily create sharp lines with it and it stays in place for a long, long time!
The Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in East End Snob is available at the drugstore for £3,99/€6,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know whether or not you like using lip liners!
Lijk me echt iets voor mij.

Im sorry you didn’t have the best luck with it, I love these liners compared to pencils. Pencils tend to hurt my lips, but this cream pencil is so easy to use. I have to use a liner when I wear red, and this line has already been a affordable option. But I agree, lip pencils are very fragile!

This one is my favourite! I usually have about two backups of these because I just love them so much, especially in this shade!
