Well, well, well another MAC lipstick. It’s my third in only a few months time. Ever since I got my first one, Coral Bliss, I have been all about them. This time I was on the hunt for a pretty everyday nude colour. I wasn’t quite sure yet which colour I wanted, so I asked the MAC makeup artist to help me out and she showed me this gorgeous colour called Peach Blossom. At first I wasn’t too sure if it would look good on me, but after she applied it, I was in love and I bought it. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
Peach Blossom is a cremesheen lipstick and comes in a similar packaging to all other MAC lipsticks ever. I really like that MAC works with these different finishes. It allows you to choose the type of lipstick you want yourself and if you know which finishes work best for you, it prevents you from buying things you’ll never use. I already had one cremesheen, so I knew this was going to be fine. Cremesheen lipsticks are creamy, but not super creamy. They’re not really glossy, but also not matte either. It a kind of combination of a matte lipstick and a super creamy lipstick.
The thing I like most about the cremesheen’s is that they are pretty comfortable to wear but they’re also pretty long lasting. I do have to admit that I it’s not the most comfortable lipstick I have in my collection, but considering the fact it stays on my lips for about 5 to 6 hours, I’m okay with that.
Peach Blossom is a very neutral colour, something I was looking for for quite a while now. Because it’s called Peach Blossom, you’d expect a pretty peachy colour, but in real life, it’s not like that at all. Instead, Peach Blossom is more of a pink with a brown undertone. It’s pretty much the perfect nude colour for pale girls like me. There is a bit of peachiness to it, but not enough to be able to say it’s an actual peach coloured lipstick.
Back to the cremesheen finish. Another thing I like about the cremesheen lipsticks is that they are pigmented. Most comfortable lipsticks I own aren’t ‘full coverage’. They aren’t as pigmented as most matte shades. The cremesheen lipsticks, however, are different. Even though they are comfortable, they still have such amazing colour pay off, it’s impressive.
I think the swatch represents really nicely how perfect Peach Blossom is as a nude colour. It’s really one of those “my lips but better” shades. I absolutely love it. It looks good with every single look I have ever created so far. Whether I use warm colours, cool colours, neutral, a mix, whatever it is that I’m doing, this lipstick will look absolutely amazing with it and I love that a lot about it.
But, there is one teeny tiny downside to this lipstick: When you apply it, the first hour or two it will be creamy, comfortable, moisturising and it won’t accentuate the dry patches on your lips. However, after wearing it for 3 to 4 hours, it will get a tad bit dry. That because the most of the creaminess is gone, so the part that is left is just the colourful part and that just feels a little dry. I don’t really mind it because it doesn’t look awful and it doesn’t feel horrible, but it is something you should know.
But, over all, I think Peach Blossom is my favourite lipstick in the world. I might have said that a million times before, but now I’m sure, it’s this one. It’s just the most perfect everyday nude colour that looks good with anything and everything and that is appropriate for every single occasion you can think of. Besides that it’s also pretty comfortable to wear and it’s super long lasting. This is definitely my new holy grail!
The MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Peach Blossom is available at the MAC counters and online for €19,50.

Het zal idd zonde zijn als je iets koopt wat je niet gebruikt. Wat fijn dat je zo tevreden bent over Peach Blossom!

[…] MAC Lipstick in Peach Blossom – My last (lipstick) favourite is one by MAC in the shade Peach Blossom. In 2015 I bought a total of 5 MAC lipsticks, which is pretty insane by the way, but this one in Peach Blossom is by far my favourite. This is my signature lipstick. It’s the lipstick I go for when I just don’t know which one to wear, it’s the one I wear if I have something important going on that day, it’s the one I wear when I feel a little off, it’s just perfect and I love it!
