Me and my berry toned blushes, it’s really becoming a thing right now. I’m just really into them at the moment and I keep purchasing more of them. Today I’m going to be reviewing another one of the Maxfactor Creme Puff Blushes. I have already reviewed one in the shade Seductive Pink, and today it’s time for a more autumnal colour called Gorgeous Berries. If you’re interested in reading more about it, keep on reading!
The Maxfactor Creme Puff Blushes come in a really cute small round packaging. The bottom part is black and the lid is for the most part clear and has a gold line around the edges. I really love the look of it. It’s very clean and really elegant. It looks pretty luxurious and classy and I like that a lot. It’s also easy to open, so it won’t break your nails and because of its size it’s super convenient for travelling or even storing it if you store your makeup in a very small space (or in a big space but you just have a lot).
The Creme Puff range consists of six different colours of blush. You can either go for a more bronzy toned blush, a light pink toned blush or a more purply, or as they call it, mauve toned blush. I really like all of the colours they have in this range to be honest, but this one is definitely my favourite.
Gorgeous Berries is a very pretty purply pink blush. It’s really like a berry. The fun thing is that these blushes have this marble pattern, so instead of having one plain colour, you actually have multiple colours in one. Because the marble is so defined it’s not really possible to choose which colour you want, but you can alter a bit with from which part you pick up the blush.
The thing I like about colours like this one is that they actually look pretty natural on. It might not seem like that, especially after you see the swatch you probably won’t believe this, but this blush makes you look like you just came in from playing in the snow outside. It gives you those pretty blushed cheeks that make you look very healthy. And because it’s a colour you can get from being outside in the snow, it looks really natural. If you don’t believe me, just give it a try!
The thing with this blush is that it’s extremely pigmented. Just like the Hema Satin Blush Powder I reviewed yesterday. It’s again a colour you do need to be careful with, but when you use a light hand and for example the Real Techniques Blush Brush, you can definitely make this work and it’s definitely not impossible to not overdo it. The great thing about this extreme pigmentation thing is that you can build it up to the intensity you want. Some of us prefer rather natural looking blush, while others like their blush to be pretty intense and bold.
The lasting power of this blush ain’t bad at all. It’s not as amazing as the Hema Satin Blush Powder, but it does a pretty good job as well. This will lose a bit of intensity throughout the day, but it does stay put longer than the usual blush.
Over all I think this Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush in Gorgeous Berries is another hit. I already loved the one in the shade Seductive Pink, but this one is even more amazing. The texture of these blushes is really nice and they make your face look so much more healthy and alive. I really like it!
The Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush is available at the drugstore for €12,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which blush is your current favourite!
