MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle

A while ago I purchased one of the world’s most popular highlighters: MAC Soft & Gentle. I have heard amazing things about this for years and I couldn’t resist anymore. I had to give it a try. After testing it thoroughly, it’s finally time for the review. The MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes come in pretty basic packagings. The biggest part is made out of black plastic and the middle part of the lid is made out of clear plastic. The packaging closes magnetically. I have to say that I don’t like this packaging, I honestly which it still came in its old packaging. The main reason being that the material from this packaging, especially the clear part, feels pretty cheap and I don’t like that. I also really don’t like how thick the edges are now.

On the other hand, I do like how big this packaging is. You get a ton of product, so it will last you for ages. I mean, highlighter isn’t a product you use a lot of on a daily basis. You just pop on a little bit and that’s it. So yeah, this highlighter will probably last me forever. Literally forever.

There are a few different shades of Mineralize Skinfinishes available in their permanent collection. In my opinion this one, called Soft and Gentle, is the prettiest and most versatile one. It’s a very pretty, super shimmery, warm toned highlighter that looks good on basically everyone. The glitters in here are not super finely mild, but they don’t look very cheap and plastic either. I like them.

Something else I just love about this product is the pattern. I mean, isn’t that just gorgeous? I absolutely love it. It almost looks like the moon, a more golden, sparkly moon. I think that’s the most gorgeous thing in the world. I love it!

The fact that it looks pretty is fun and all, but I can hear you think: “what is so special about this highlighter. Why would you spend so much money on it?”. That was exactly what I thought before I got this product too. But honestly, now I own it, I get it. I get why it’s so extremely popular.

I think that the reason why this is such a popular product is because it gives you the most amazing looking glow in the whole wide world, and that in just a split second. Cheaper highlighters just can’t compete with it. It’s not just shine, it’s more. This product is actually capable of making everyone and anyone look healthy and it can make everyone’s skin look as radiant as possible.

Now you might think “I have oily skin, I have enough glow of my own”. I get your concern, but honey, this ain’t an oily glow, this is a glow Beyoncé would be jealous of. I have very oily skin myself, and I can easily pull this off without looking even oilier than I already am. It’s just gorgeous.

The pigmentation of this product is just perfect. You don’t need to go over the area you want to apply the highlighter to a million times in order to achieve that glow you want, no, it only takes one swipe and you’re done. That because this product has the perfect amount of pigmentation. It’s not too extreme, it doesn’t look unnatural, but it does look absolutely stunning. And that on every single skin colour you can ever imagine, I’m not kidding here.

The last thing I want to mention is that this highlighter stays in place so extremely well. It literally doesn’t budge at all. Normally highlighters, as well as blushes and bronzers, have a hard time staying in place, but this one doesn’t struggle with that at all. If you’re in need of a glow that stays in place all day, go for this!

Well I think it’s clear, I absolutely love this MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle. It’s the most gorgeous highlighter I have ever seen and I’m so glad I finally got my hands on it. I think this product is totally worth its hype and I highly recommend it to everyone. If you have this in your collection, you don’t need anything else. It’s amazing!
