E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation & Ultimate Blending Brush

ELF Foundation & Brush

As I mentioned in my previous E.L.F. review, E.L.F. asked me if I wanted to try out some of their products. I ended up choosing 5 products, one of which is the Blush Palette, which I reviewed already, and today I’m going to review two more products: the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush and the E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation. If you’re interested in reading more about it, keep on reading!

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation

Let’s start off with the Flawless Finish Foundation. I really, really enjoy trying out new foundations. I don’t know why but I just absolutely love it. This particular one looked very interesting to me for various reasons. One of those reasons is that the bottle looks absolutely amazing.

The Flawless Finish Foundation comes in a square shaped matte glass bottle with a pump. It’s super classy and chic looking and I really like the fact that it comes with a pump, just because that makes life so much easier. So overall I really like the look of this packaging and I think E.L.F. did an incredible job creating it.

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation

Something I really like about the E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation is that it has SPF 15 in it. It’s not much and it’s definitely not enough protection for sunny days, but since I live in the Netherlands where we barely have any sun and because it’s better than nothing, I really like it.

Aside from the SPF in this foundation, this foundation has a few more amazing things to it. The thing I like best about it is that it is oil free and therefore it doesn’t look oily at all on my skin. What I do like is that even though it’s oil free and not super shiny, it does have a slight bit of dewiness to it, in a natural way, not the oily way. I think that is absolutely amazing and I really love the look of it.

ELF Foundation

Aside from the gorgeous finish and the SPF in this foundation, there are a few other reasons why I’m pretty much in love with this foundation. Firs of all, it smells absolutely amazing. I can’t really describe the scent, but I can tell you guys that it’s really nice!

The very last thing I want to discuss with you guys regarding this foundation is the coverage and the stay power. This foundation has amazing coverage, it’s insane. Even on bad skin days my skin looked flawless after applying this foundation. It covered up pretty much every imperfection on my skin, it’s amazing! To top that off it also has amazing staying power. This foundation stays put all day. It doesn’t even start to look a little funky after a while, not even after 10 hours. I’m really impressed.

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation Bottle

Overall I think the E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation is absolutely wonderful. It has SPF 15 in it, it smells great, it has amazing coverage, the finish is phenomenal and it stays in place all day. I am in love with this foundation! It’s honestly one of the best foundations I have ever tried!

The E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation is available at eyeslipsface.nl for €6,80.

ELF Buffer Brush

Onto the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush. I was actually pretty surprised to see such an high quality brush like this one on the webshop. As far as I knew E.L.F. only did very affordable and simple brushes, but apparently I was totally wrong. They now have quite a lot of really good looking brushes and I was very, very interested in trying one out.

The Ultimate Blending Brush is basically a pretty big, but not huge, round top buffer brush. I really like buffer brushes for applying foundation, but this one could be used for a lot more than just foundation. For example this brush could be perfect for applying your bronzer, blush, all over face powder or like I mentioned your foundation. It’s very multifunctional and therefore quite a musthave.

ELF Buffer Brush Hairs

The thing I love about this brush is that the hairs are really soft and flexible. You can compare it to the hairs of a powder brush, but than a tad bit stiffer. But it’s definitely not as stiff as the hairs of other buffer brushes. On one hand I don’t like that because it takes a lot more time to properly blend in a thicker foundation, but on the other hand it does create a really nice finish and it works perfectly for pretty much anything else than thick foundations.

Overall I think the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush is really amazing and I really like the quality. It’s definitely similar to the quality of Zoeva and Real Techniques brushes, which is pretty impressive considering the fact this one is only €8 and the Zoeva and RT brushes at least €15 and up! I highly recommend it!

The E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush is available at eyeslipsface.nl for €8.

And that is pretty much it for today guys. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s double review and let me know if you have ever tried one of the E.L.F. foundations and/or brushes and how you like them!
