MAC Cremesheen Lipstick Creme Cup

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick Packaging

MAC lipsticks have quickly become a big obsession in my life. A while ago Douglas had a 20% off everything sale going on, that excluded MAC, but because of a technical issue on the website, I was able to get 20% off MAC products anyways. Because MAC is one of those brands that is literally never on sale I decided to order some products. One of the products I got is this Cremesheen Lipstick in the shade Creme Cup. If you’re interested in finding out more about it, keep on reading!

The MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup comes in the same classic bullet shaped packagings as all of the other MAC lipsticks. Because I have done a few more reviews on lipsticks in which I discussed the packaging, I won’t talk about it too long for now, but for those of you who haven’t read those other reviews: I like it.

Throughout the years I have heard so many good things about Creme Cup. It was a favourite of many, many beauty bloggers/guru’s which made me really, really curious. The reason why it’s such a popular, or was such a popular shade is because it’s such a wearable colour. It’s basically the perfect nude lipstick.

The thing I like about Creme Cup is that, even though it’s a perfect nude shade, it isn’t boring. Most nude lipsticks have a way more brown undertone than this one does. This one is quite pink which makes it a bit more playful, but still wearable. I do have to say that you should be careful with colours like this. If it doesn’t really suit you, it might look a slight bit trashy. But even if it does, if you like it, you should just go ahead and wear it.

I believe Creme Cup is about my third Cremesheen lipsticks. I really like the Cremesheens. I love how creamy they are, but not super buttery. It’s not like the Stila Colour Balm Lipsticks, which are super buttery and creamy, but it’s still very comfortable to wear.

Because it’s not extremely buttery, the Cremesheen lipsticks do last a long time on the lips. This one stays in place for at least 5 hours, and sometimes even longer. It really depends on what you’re doing. If you’re eating and drinking a lot, it might be gone within 3 to 4 hours, but if you’re just living your life, talking a bit, taking a sip of water every now and then, it will definitely stay in place for 5 hours or more.

Pigmentation wise, Creme Cup didn’t let me down at all. It’s a very nicely pigmented colour and it’s actually buildable, so if you prefer a really pigmented lip, you can go for that if you want. I really like the way it looks and feels on the lips.

The only thing I don’t like about Creme Cup is that it’s not the easiest colour to wear. You really have to think about what colours you’ll be putting on your eyes and on your cheeks, ’cause if you don’t it might end up looking a little odd. Even though it’s a pretty basic nude colour, it doesn’t really go with everything.

Overall I do really like the MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup. It’s comfortable to wear, it lasts a very long time on the lips and I think the colour is really pretty. I do recommend, if you want to get it, to try it out on your lips first because this isn’t a shade for everybody!

The MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup is available online and at the MAC Counters for €19,50.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which MAC lipstick is your absolute favourite!
