Quite a long time ago, when the Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Lipbalms were just launched, I reviewed one of them. One in a very pretty coral shade called Charming Coral. I loved it a lot, so a while ago I decided to buy another one. This time a went for a little more daring shade. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out if I ended up liking this one just as much as the coral one, keep on reading!
The lipbalm comes in a slim but quite long tube. The bottom part has a bit of a gold colour and the lid is clear. I do like the packaging. It doesn’t take in too much space and it works. I do have to say that it doesn’t look really fancy and high end, so if that’s what your looking for, the packaging might not be your cup of tea.
The colour I chose this time is called Luscious Red, which is obviously a red shade. I think it’s a very classic and elegant red colour and that’s exactly what I like about it. I think colours like this would look good on pretty much anyone and I think it looks good with pretty much every look, so it’s definitely a shade I will wear a lot.
One of the main reasons why I really like the Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Lipbalms is because of the scent. They have a very specific and nice scent to them which I really, really enjoy. I can’t really describe what it smells like, so if you really want to know you’re going to have to go ahead an go smell it yourself.
The balm itself is really soft and creamy and feels very moisturising on the lips. It’s very buttery and one of the most comfortable things to wear. And aside from it being comfortable to wear, it actually moisturises your lips as well. I really like that about it.
The colour pay off is very impressive. Most tinted lipbalm like products aren’t too pigmented, but this one definitely is. The thing I like about it is that you can choose yourself how pigmented you want it to be. If you apply one layer with a very light hand you will end up with a nice touch of colour all over your lips, but if you’re applying it without a light hand or just multiple layers you can definitely get it to look more intense.
The staying power is decent. Because it’s so moisturising and buttery, it’s pretty normal that it doesn’t stay in place all day. However, it does stain your lips a slight bit and therefore you will have at least a touch of colour all day.
Alltogether I’m really positive. I think the Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Balm is a great product and I really enjoy using it. I already loved the coral version, but this one is amazing too. The colour is really pretty and the balm is very moisturising. I highly recommend giving this one a try!
The Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Balm is available at the drugstore for €10,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you have ever tried one of the Maxfactor Colour Intensifying Balm!
