My Everyday Makeup Brushes

Everyday Makeup Brushes

A while ago someone asked me if I wanted to write a post about the makeup brushes I use on a daily basis. I felt very flattered that someone wanted me to do so and I thought it was a very nice idea, so I decided to do it. So, today I’m going to show you which brushes I like using everyday and therefore also my favourite makeup brushes. If you’re interested in finding out which brushes I enjoy using, keep on reading!

Foundation brushes

Let’s start off with foundation brushes. I wash my brushes every Sunday, and because they get dirty so easily, I don’t like using the same brush all week. I usually choose two that I will be using that week, and these three over here are the three I use most frequently. The first one is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This brush is just amazing. The quality is incredible and it does and amazing job at blending my foundation into my skin.

Another brush I enjoy using for foundation is the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush. This one is angled which I makes applying foundation at places like the nose or the under eye area really easy. This is definitely one of my favourites.

And lastly, the brush I like the most out of them all, the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush. I got this quite a long time ago and I have used it ever since. This is my first and only Sigma brush and I think it’s the best. It’s super soft, it blends your foundation perfectly and it’s easy to clean. If you want to invest in makeup brushes, go for this one!

Powder brushes

Then onto other face brushes. The first one is the Zoeva Blush Brush. This one is from the Very Croc set, which I think, is discontinued now. I use this to apply powder all over my face. There is a powder brush in this set, but that one is even bigger than this one, so I prefer using the blush brush instead.

The next brush hasn’t been in my collection for that long. It’s the Bodysoul Powder brush which I bought at Müller in Germany. I love using this to apply my bronzer/contour because you can use it to either apply it very gently or to really sculpt your face. I like that about it.

For blush I love using the Real Techniques Blush Brush. I like this because you can easily control how much blush you apply using this blush. It’s perfect for applying super pigmented blushes since you’re really the one who’s in control, not the brush.

Small Face Brushes

Onto the Zoeva Concealer Buffer. Because I struggle a lot with my mascara smudging, I like to apply a bit of powder there to really set the area. To do that I use this brush. It’s very dense and does a great job at it. It even adds a bit of coverage, which is really nice.

Lastly for the face brushes is the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I absolutely love this brush in general, but especially for applying my highlighter. It has the perfect shape, the perfect size and again, when you use this brush, you are the one who’s in control, and I think that’s a great thing.

Eyeshadow Brushes 2

Onto the eye brushes. I recently got the Zoeva Rose Gold Vol. 2 Complete Eye set, so you will see lot’s of brushes from that set, but a few of them I have in the normal version as well, so it’s not just the appearance that makes me love them.

The first brush is the Zoeva Brow Light. This is a quite big and chunky, but really soft brush that is literally perfect for applying your brow bone highlight. It has the perfect shape and the perfect size and it’s really easy to work with. I really love this brush.

Next up is the Zoeva Luxe Classic Shader. This is the best shader brush I own. It has the perfect size, it’s soft and fluffy and it does a great job at applying my eyelid shade. It’s not the only eyeshadow brush I use, I’m obviously not going to use the same shader brush every single day, but this is definitely my favourite one.

Next up is the Luxe Precise Shader. This is a teeny tiny eyeshadow brush that could be used to apply eyeshadow very precisely. I mainly use it to apply my innercorner highlight and a bit of that colour along the lower lash line.

Next is the Zoeva Luxe Crease brush. I thought the Soft Definer was my all time favourite eyeshadow brush, but this one is even better. You just can’t have enough of brushes like this one. It’s perfect to apply literally everything in your crease and it’s perfect to blend your eyeshadows with. I mainly use it to apply my transition colour in the crease because it applies and blends at the same time and I think that’s amazing, but if I had multiple ones like this, I would definitely use it for other things as well.

Onto the Zoeva Luxe Petite Crease brush. You might be able to tell what I use this for looking at the colour of the hairs, but for those of you who can’t tell, I use this to apply my crease colour. It’s precise, but doesn’t apply the colour in a very harsh line and it’s very easy to work with. I like it a lot.

Next up is the Zoeva Luxe Pencil brush. This one has about the same shape as the Luxe Petite Crease but it’s a little smaller. I really like using this to apply a very dark shade just in the outer corner, but it’s also perfect to apply eyeshadow underneath the lower lash line. It’s a very multi functional brush.

Then we have the Zoeva Eye Finish brush. This is a duo-fibre blending brush and it’s amazing. I have been using this for years now and I still love the crap out of it. I use is every single day and I just can’t live without it anymore. It blends everything so perfectly and so quickly. It’s the best.

The second last brush I’m going to show you is the Zoeva Brow Line brush. You might expect me to use it to apply brow powder, but nothing is less true than that. I use this to apply eyeshadow underneath my lower lash line. Because it’s angled like that it just works perfectly for applying eyeshadow there.

Onto the very last brush, which is another one I bought in Germany. It’s the Ebelin Blending Brush. This is basically the same thing as the Zoeva Eye Finish but even softer. I love, love, love this brush for blending my eyeshadows. It’s the best budget proof brush ever created, I promise.

And that was it for today. Those were all of the brushes I use on a daily basis and are therefore also some of my favourite brushes ever. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s article and let me know which brushes you enjoy using a lot!
